Starbucks - Arundel Preserve Review

The Starbucks motto, true at Arundel Preserve:

"We always figured that putting people before products just made good common sense. So far, it's been working out for us. Our relationships with farmers yield the highest-quality coffees. The connections we make in communities create a loyal following. And the support we provide our baristas pays off everyday."

I would like to share my praise for my local Starbucks in Hanover, Maryland, at Arundel Preserve. (7698 Dorchester Blvd. Suite 207 Hanover, Maryland 21076 [410 799-4126]).

Every time that I go in, they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They do not even have to ask me what I want anymore, they know. I am always greeted with a welcoming "hello, your usual?" I have recognized this same sort of attentiveness with other customers as well. Don't get me wrong though, when I am in the mood for something new, they are always really helpful at recommending new drinks I may enjoy.

My husband was in Iraq last summer when the store opened. Everyday, whichever Barista was working would ask me how he was, and how I was. They went above and beyond typical customer service, and showed genuine care, usually only found in small local establishments.

I have done quite a bit of travelling for leisure and with my job, which means I have been to Starbucks establishments around the world. The consistently worst experience I have had was at a Starbucks near my resort I was staying at in Kissimmee, FL (6075 Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee, FL 34747 [407 396-8757]). The drinks there always tasted burnt, the lines were way too long, for the number of baristas that worked there, and they weren't very friendly. Needless to say, I was glad to get back home. I call the Arundel Preserve Starbucks "my Starbucks" because even on a bad day, my drink is better than any other beverage I have gotten at any other Starbucks around the world, and it is literally out my back door.
