Star Wars —
Star Wars: A New Hope was origionally going to be just another space movie amongst a bunch of B and C rate science fiction movies in the late seventies (I believe 1977 to be exact) What happened within the first week of it's release was an unprecidented outpour of support, making it one of the most ageless movies ever to be created.
I myself was once a Star Wars buff. I can remembering my father mentioning that if I liked Science Fiction I should rent this movie, so I did. What was in store for me was a jouney from the desert planet of Tatooine, through the twisted corridors of the Death Star, ending inside an X-Wing, protecting my rebel base from harm. I couldn't believe what I had seen! It truely was amazing!
Starting from the characters, Star Wars: A New Hope started a series of movies that would capture the hearts of minds of billions throughout the world. Right from the beginning, you get sucked right into the movie, instantly attached to the plithera of wonderful personalities it has, from the Snappy Han Solo, to the Hot Headed Luke Skywalker.
All in All, this movie had it all, so much so that it was taken back into production, where LucasArts created a Special Edition to it, a graphically updated version of the origional film. If you weren't around to see it in Theaters, I would get out form under that computer desk to watch it!
