Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Review Summary

Finally, in 2005 George Lucas brought the final film (actually episode three when put in chronological order by story line) of the six movie series. Revenge of The Sith is the episode giddily awaited by all Star Wars geeks because we finally get to see how Anakin Skywalker became the dastardly Darth Vader. The film opened to generally strong reviews as most reflected one of our reviewers feelings that, "Although Episode III has more than a few flaws, Sith is the Prequel Episode that comes closest to replicating the pacing and spirit of the Classic Trilogy." Along with an engaging storyline, "Revenge of the Sith boasts some of the best special effects sequences of the saga" and "was the large amount of memorable scenes. Memorable and emotional scenes that were actually worth watching". While most felt that, like the first two prequels to the classic Star Wars trilogy, Revenge of The Sith isn't as strong as the first three films, almost all agree it is the best of the later movies and a fitting end to the series.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2005, exactly six years after the premiere of The Phantom Menace and almost 28 years after the first screening of Star Wars (a.k.a. Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope), I was among the millions of fans going to the movies to watch the final installment of George Lucas' popular...

The Case

Okay, we're all familiar with the legendary, and sometimes infamous, Star Wars films.  We've all seen the movies - and if you haven't, I demand you stop reading and go watch them NOW! - we've all heard the quotes, we've all used the phrase "May the Force be with you."  Wait - doesn't everyone...

This movie was a long time coming but it wraps up a lot of unanswered questions that have been around for decades. The effects were fantastic and the character design and other things involved were at the top of the scale. This movie was fastpaced as were the other films.
A perfect example of how not letting go of past fear and loss can cause a person to change for the worst. As in Anakin's fear gripped him and held him so that nothing could be done to save the ones he cared about the most.
He totally gave in to not having any feelings other than rage. It took control and as a result he spent half...

Revenge of the Sith was the best of the Prequel Trilogy. It had tons of action and suspense and just plain good Star Wars fun. It's a lot more serious then any of the previous movies, but it is supposed to be. To get the most out of the movie though I highly recommend picking up the novelization, it fills in all the gaps and questions left by the movie. Anakin's fall to the Dark side makes the rest original trilogy more poignant and meaningful. Forget the haters, Star Wars is for kids first, and should be watched from a 13 year olds point of view.

With the release of Revenge Of The Sith, the tale of the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker is finally complete.  At long last, we see how the Empire came into power and what that legendary battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin was like, the battle that placed Anakin into the black armor suit of Darth Vader.  The movie opens in spectacular fasion with the mother of all space battles taking place over the central planet of the Republic.  there are also more lightsaber duels in this movie than almost all the others combined.  Anakin's fall begins with his fear of loss and the temptation... review »

This movie explains a lot about Darth Vadar. The love that Anny had for Patamie was real and special. This also explains the good that Luke could feel in his father. Ewan McGregor was exceptional as Obi-Own. I also like the good looks and his eyes-so cool looking. The patience that he had with Anikin was exceptional. The look and saying when he told him he was to bring balance to the force not leave it in darkness was to the point and so correct. Only it was Luke who brings balance to the force, not his father. When Patamie was giving birth, the heart break of Anikin not being there was tearing... review »

I was 10 when I first saw 'Star Wars', three times in two days - back in the day when you could sit through a movie more than once for the same price.  I've been hooked ever since.

'Sith' doesn't have some of the same elements of the original III, IV, V - but it's a darker time and more of back history - lots we already know from 20 years of trivia, books, and Cons.

I find Vadar/Skywalker a tragic character in the Shakespeare tradition and though the acting and chemistry between Padme & Anakin is a little stiff it does connect the dots.

As a child fan, I saw the movie through a child's...

There's only one thing that troubled me with Star Wars VI, and that was when Luke asked Leih what she remembered about thier mother. Because she said that her mother was very beautiful, but sad. And their mother died in episode III. And in my opinion I thought that Darth Vader in the previous movies were a lot better in his fighting techniques. And Luke could have inherited more monuvers in the last episode. All in all, I thought that Luke did what his father could not do and save the republic. And I loved the way that Darth Vader turned on the emperor to save his son from death.

Many people had problems with the prequel trilogy. Maybe it was justified, maybe it wasn't. But this movie did a great job connecting the days of the Old Republic with the days of The Empire.

Who would have ever thought that Skywalker joined the Dark Side for love? But that is what happened. We finally got to see how the jedi were demolished. The connections were great, the strory-telling was wonderful, and the fights were ones for the ages.

Check out this film!!

I really enjoyed this 3rd installment of the series. The special effects were excellent. I kept on wanting Anakin to make wiser decisions since his involvment effects so many in the star wars universe. He really did feind me of a spoiled little brat. Obe one's charactor was writen very well being in the mentor role. I thought this movie was Lucas's finest Star Wars movie to date.

I have to say that this is one of George Lucas's greatest accomplishments ever. I have seen all of the Star Wars series, and this is one of the best. I recommend all of George Lucas's films, especially this one. It has a great plot, storyline, and completes the Star Wars series well. This is an awesome movie for all Sci-Fi lovers.

This is the movie I waited a long time to see. It answered a lot of questions I had watching the other Star Wars movies. I always wanted to know what happened to the Jedi Knights and the origins of Darth Vader. I waited a long time to see this movie and I feel it was worth the wait. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who is a Star Wars fan.

All the Star War Movies are excellent. The special effects are great.  If you are a Star Wars fan, you need to see this.  This movie is the start of it all.  You get to see how Darth Vader was made.  Fight scenes were awesome.  The fight scene with Yodi was awesome.
