St. Ives Microdermabrasion is not quite what it seems.

3 star rating

i have been surprised and pleased by a lot of st. ives products, particularly the anti aging daily facial exfoliant.  the cool blue color along with the renderings of crystals were what attracted me to this product.  i like to try new things, though i am serious about my skin care and don't like to experiment with my face.  i had been using the mary kay microdermabrasion system which includes extremely fine crystals as well as a soothing renewal serum.  i was happy to see something that was easy to get at any store and carried the st. ives name.  i have used this product a few times and the crystals are not very fine and are also surprisingly abrasive, and not in a good way.  i feel this product is more of a regular exfoliant, less of a microdermabrasion product.  this is not to say it does not make the face more smooth.  it does.  but it does not compare to the mary kay system.  because the price was less than $8.00, i don't feel bad about trying it and not thinking it is beyond average.

Hey detroitdolly have you seen the Apricot Scrub by St Ives? Very fine abrasion and you control it with the pressure you apply.
