I love my Sprint Nextel- Katana Phone phone. It's just the right size & weight. And the Metalic blue color is awesome. I don't know much about phones so I don't know what to say about it except that I have had it for 20 mos with no problems at all. Would buy this same phone again if something… read full review »

I use my phone as a multipurpose tool - internet access, email, alarm clock, camera for snapshots, address book, calendar, to play basic games. Pros:  Lightweight, compact, comes in colors other than black.  Camera takes decent pictures and has a timer.  The camera has… read full review »

The Sanyo Katana from Sprint is overal a good buy for its money. I originally got the product for $99, but there are places that you can find it slightly cheaper as well as slightly more expensive. At first, the Katana will look and feel a lot like the Motorola Razr. The disadvantage of not going in for the Razr straight away is that a lot of the new applications which are being made for phones are being made for the Razr first. However, the advantage is that you will have a phone that is exclusive and also, in my opinion, looks better than the Razr. Furthermore, the phone supports Java,… read full review »

Like many of us who rely on our cell phones, I was unhappy with the service my former carrier provided.  After searching the Web, I found Sprint.  The customer service reps were helpful and intelligent from the get-go, and I was quickly approved for a phone and service.  I chose the phone they were offering for free that day, the Sanyo Katana, and I have not been sorry. — — The sound quality is excellent!  I no longer have to scream to be heard, and people calling me no longer hear echoes that drown them out.  The user's manual is clearly written and easy… read full review »

I purchased the Sprint Katana phone from Sprint back in November of 2006. I fell in love instantly. The phone can be used to access the internet as well as take and send pictures. It has text ability with up to 160 characters per message. —    I love being able to easily customize this phone without having to go through a million different options. I am able to add various ringtones, games, and callback tones all at the push of a button. You can easily customize the phone screens with various pics and screen savers. —    The overall display on the… read full review »

The Katana cell phone has worked very well for me.  I love its design too (I have the pink one).  One drawback is that the photo option doesn't produce great images.  But that's fine with me.  It has plenty of extra features like: downloadable games, ringers, built in calculator, stopwatch and internet features.  I have had it for well over a year and have had no problems.  Minimal wear and tear - still looks as good as new.  If you saw the inside of my purse, you'd know that is a serious… read full review »

After using multiple cell phones with a lot of dissatisfaction I have finally found one phone that i am significantly satisfied with. So far after three months I do not have any complaints and this phone has worked itself back into my life like a regular part of my body and daily action. I Overall it meets all of my immediate needs and I am able to manage my daily activities. It has multiple options that are very comfortable. Some of the options are lacking a little however overall all of the general needs can be met and function. —… read full review »

I have had the Katana for over a year now and love it. Texting is made very easy. It has picture capability. I love that I can see who is calling. I also like that I can set up specific ringtones for certain people or groups of people. It helps me to know when work is calling! The Katana is also very durable. I have dropped it so many times, including in the bathtub! The pictures are not as clear as I would like however and it doesn't have video. Other than that it's a great… read full review »

The Katana has come down in price since I bought mine, but it still holds all the same great functions. I have like 9 alarms set every day. The countdown function works great as a reminder to clock in from lunch or wake up from a nap or just check dinner in the oven. With Vision, accessing my gmail is very easy and convenient, and the shortcuts suit me naturally. The Katana fits me like a glove. Any 20something busy working female would love… read full review »

I have had the Sprint Katana phone for a few years it has held up ok but easily gets scratched. I wish it took better pictures. Things that are good are sound clarity and of course I am very satisfied with the reception, from being in the middle of no where to in the mountains I have not had many prblems getting a signal. Overall this is a decent phone always room for a… read full review »

This phone is just "alright".  If I had my choice I would go back to using an older phone.  I drop calls frequently and can never seem to get the text message alert to turn off once the message has been viewed.  The battery life is not so great either.  The photo quality is decent but could be better.… read full review »

Great phone for a great price! I have two of the Katanas , both which simply work. I would buy another one if mine broke today. The signal strength is amazing. The battery life is longer than stated. The picture quality is not the best, however, it works just fine for a phone. The phone can be dropped and slammed but it never fails to… read full review »

The function on the Katana does not compair to the Razr, Yes there are more things that the Razr can do but, just the quality of the phone out does the Razr. I had both and I spent more time loosing battery life and and the phone freezing up. The Katana is small, slim, and light weight. The colors are better. Over all I love the… read full review »

This is a good phone.  It is compact and slim.  The volume is either to high or too low.  Also, the buttons are not raised so it makes it hard to dial the phone.  Headphones will need an adaptor to fit on the phone.  Otherwise the phone is a great buy.  Sprint offered it for free with an upgrade for… read full review »

The Katana is a good phone. It works well, and is pretty easy to use. The battery could be a litle better, but it's good enough. I like that it has bluetooth because an earpiece is great for travel when you're dragging bags through the airport. I also love the pink color - it's not too bright, but pink enough to be… read full review »
