Springhill suites - Peoria, IL —

Check-in was easy, front desk staff friendly. We had a problem with the TV and somebody came up right away, apologized profusely for the inconvenience and said he would return with a different TV. We were headed out and when we returned shortly after, he had just finished the installation of the new TV and was testing it to be sure everything worked and the problem was no longer an issue.

The breakfast was typical fruits, juices & milk, cold cereal and pastries, plus sausage patties and make-your-own waffles. This was all fine, but the molded (same size as sausage patties) scrambled eggs were like rubber, and the eggs and sausage were not very hot. The 4 containers of hot drinks (coffee, tea, water) were not replenished often enough throughout the day and night, and were therefore lukewarm or cold 3 of the 5 times we attempted to get a hot drink.

There was a small fitness room, free newspaper, pay-per-view movies, microwave, fridge, coffee maker with supplies, iron & board, hair dryer. Although called a suite, there was no door between living & sleeping areas, and the TV was on a swivel in a cabinet, shared between the 2 areas. There was a tiny eating table w/4 chairs, an L-shaped desk, a small couch and coffee table. The shower had good water pressure and a changeable-spray head.

We were there for 2 nights, and would return to that hotel should we again need to stay in Peoria.
