Last September at my "ladies" appointment, my doctor confirmed something I had been suspecting for some time. My blood pressure was a little high and I had high cholesterol. In addition, there is high cholesterol and heart related issues that run in my family so consequently, my doctor recommended I take Omega 3 Fish Oil. With Spring Valley Fish Oil, I like the fact that you only need one softgel per day. Prior to this I was taking another brand which required 2 or 3 tablets per day and it was hard work taking them. In addition, these softgels are enteric coated, that is, they have some anti reflux technology which means there is no fishy aftertaste. I can confirm that the enteric coated technology works!. In addition, I had also noticed that my finger joints were getting a little sore and my doctor said the Omega 3 would probably east my join pain. I've now been taking Spring Valley Omega 3 Fish Oil for over a year and whenever I have a check up on my blood pressure, it definitely has come down. My finger pain left after about 3 months, the doctor said it would have to take time to build up in my system - like any supplement. I would very highly recommend Spring Valley Fish Oil.

I have tried numerous fish oil capsules from many brands and this is the only one I would recommend! I know the importance of taking fish oil supplements, especially after the cardiac surgeons who perform open heart surgeries (3 a day -on average) at the hospital where I work have started adding fish oil capsules as a standing order on all post-heart-patients! If that isn't an argument for taking the supplement I can not think of another one! I bought this tin pack at wal-mart and I'm so very glad I did. The capsules are gel caps-of course. They are not too big, a little smaller than my daily women's multivitamin. The absolute best feature of this product is that I have only had a fishy burp once from them and that was only because I was exercising before bed. I take the caps at bedtime and have taken them in the morning if I forgot the night before. I do not take these with meals as instructed, but I don't see there being at problem with fishy burps as I haven't had that except once. If you want to try taking fishoil, I really reccommend you try these.

I subscribe to three different magazines that from time to time have articles on vitamins and supplements.  I recently read an article that stated that Fish Oil and Niacin would help reduce cholesterol. I'm not a fish eater and have high cholesterol due to family history, I called my doctor to check it out.  She confirmed that these two supplements could help keep my cholesterol under control and suggested that I take 1000 mg of Fish Oil each day. I purchased Spring Valley Fish Oil in the economic Twin Pack  Each Twin Pack contains two bottles with 200 Softgels in each bottle.  Each softgel contains 1000 mg of Natural Fish Oil Concentrate (Total Omega 3 Fatty Acids-with EPA and DHA-300 mg).  The enteric-coated Softgels cut down on the fishy taste (I have not noticed any fishy taste at all) and ensure that the fish oil reaches the intestinal tract for best absorption.  Fish oil is also known as the "heart health" supplement and has been said to promote brain health and help sufferers of clinical depression.  It may also help promote joint and skin health. Be sure to check with your doctor before taking any supplement; take the dose that your doctor suggests; and check the label for complete ingredients to check for anything that you might be allergic to.
