At only twenty six years old I have joint deteroration in both of my knees and have already had one surgery. My orthopedic doctor recommended taking the Spring Valley Glucosamine Chondroitin supplements to help some of my pain. They are NOT a pain reliever. The pills work by helping to lubricate the joints better, and therefore help with flexibility in the joint and increased mobility. The condtroitin helps promote new cartliage to form, which is especially important in my case since I had such bad cartilage damage and my joint is basically bone on bone. After about a week of taking this product I could tell that my knee wasn't nearly as stiff and wasn't causing as much pain. This is definitely not a quick fix, and in order for it to work you have to maintain and keep taking the medication. The pills are rather large and hard to swallow and you have to take quite a few of them every day but they do work well.
