Spring Air Mattress —

Spring Air mattress...what a horrible name; the quality is poor at best.   I had this bed approx 4 months  and started having problems.  I cared for this bed exactly as instructed in the manual.  I did not ever receive a list of items that would void my warrenty, but was told by the rep, I did.  Now why would I purchase a 1000.00 product whose warrenty would be voided on the spot?  So, 3 months later, after filling out 8 pages of questionaire and relying on my art work; I was told by the horrible representative at Spring Air that our warrenty was void.

We have a log cabin bed that weighs 400 pounds.  Hubby and I weigh about 120lb and 180lbs respectively.  This mattress cannot even support even us!  Supposedly the bed is not able to be supported properly by a series of railroad ties that could support a small car (what they want is an old, antiquated metal frame with a stupid center post).  If  I had known that, I would have purchased another product.  When we purchased this bed and boxspring, we  explained our bed and frame to the sales person.  We were told that  by not buying a mattress pad, we would void our warrenty.  So after paying 1000.00 for the bed and 80.00 for this stupid mattress pad off we went.

My hands and fingers and legs tingle whenever  I lay in this sunken bed (all 4 quadrants) with absolutely no support except where the reinforced springs are located.  The bed has no stuffing.  This was a firm mattresse and now you can see the impression from my backside!  Not good.  The customer service is horrible.  I emailed the CEO and not a peep from him either; in fact, I think he put me in his spam box because all of a sudden in a quest for assistance, I suddenly get my emails returned when before, I did not.  The customer service person's name is Mr. Ken Goad and the CEO is Steve Cumbow.  I am sorely disappointed in the quality of spring air and the customer service I have received.  BTW:  I did receive a rude email back from Mr. Goad stating the obvious that my warrenty was terminated (for the 3th time); I was simply seeking advice on how to improve this mattress set.  Apparently there are no improvements for this horrible piece of work!   I now have neuralgias from my bed and am having residual pain that started months ago.  My palms of my hands permanantly tingle; however, the problem is I cannot afford a new bed and I do not want to sleep on the floor.

I beg of you to NOT EVER purchase a horrible Spring Air product.   I would not recommend this product to ANYONE...even the family pet!

Please re-read what you wrote. You are blaming and bashing a manufacturer for something that you chose not to do despite the recommendations in the warranty manual regarding center support requirements. All mattress brands recommend (and most of them require) center leg supports on the frame. All brands will sink, sag, and fail without proper support.

You wrote, "I cared for this bed exactly as instructed in the manual." It doesn't sound like you did everything they required since you called the requirement for center post "stupid". You wrote " I was simply seeking advice on how to improve this mattress set." You also wrote: "(what they want is an old, antiquated metal frame with a stupid center post). Not having that "stupid" center post is why your product failed.

My mom had a new Simmons Beautyrest that was sinking horribly in the middle. I checked her manual, did some research on the internet, found a great steel frame with 2 legs in the center in addition to the 4 legs on each corner. Hooked the new frame to her headboard and footboard and Instantly she was able to enjoy her bed again. I hope this helps since you were asking for advice on how to improve your comfort.
