What's your ultimate favorite sport? Baseball, golf, soccer, swimming... the list goes on. Do you just like watching or do you actually play?

I play some beach volleyball... have a mean serve and can set pretty well. Biking would be my favorite sport/exercise. Cubs baseball is my all time favorite sport to watch both at the field and on TV. Golf and basketball games put me to sleep within 5 minutes. Your turn!

Does TV count as a sport??

As for watching... NASCAR is primarily the only one I personally watch.  Hubby watches just about anything that's on.

I enjoy playing just about any sport but particularly like raquet sports, such as tennis, badminton and ping-pong. I also really enjoy ice skating but seldom get to do it. I enjoy watching an occasional football game on TV. I used to really enjoy watching the Olympics but had a negative experience when I attended the Salt Lake City Olympics as a reporter in 2002. It was clear that it was only about money and not upsetting the financial gravy train... very disappointing.

Atlanta Braves baseball neck-in-neck with TN VOLS Football!  I used to play softball a lot and I like to play raquetball.  I also like to watch NASCAR and NFL

I used to enjoy playing football way back in the old days before my knee got blown off. After that, sports were pretty much out.

These days I do a lot of online auto racing and co-manage a league with my brother. DUI Racing. It keeps us out of trouble, and we get to drink and drive!

As for watching, I don't really watch much. An occasional Broncos or Avs game maybe. I take my daughter to watch Rockies games sometimes when I can get the $5 tickets.

Football, Football, Football, Hockey, NHRA, and Football.  I used to play football on the weekends with my husband and his friends.  I have a mean arm for throwing.  Now I play on the beach with my son and his friends,  Getting older I guess.  I do run the quarter mile almost every weekend from April through the end of October.

Well, my tastes are weird. I like MMA and UFC very much. The discipline that these guys (and some ladies) have and the training they endure is amazing. I used to love pro wrestling, which I know is not a sport per se but it is athletic, but that is waning. If I could write the storylines, it would be much more interesting.

My husband loves every sport so I end up watching golf which I despised but now I kind of like and college sports. Baseball too. I like the secret signals the coaches give the pitchers and the pitchers and catchers give each other. Ha! My former British boss turned me onto soccer and I enjoy watching that but the games are too long. Still, fun to watch and no I am not a Beckham fan. :-P

I'm not much for team sports as far as playing. I was the last one picked for EVERYTHING in school for a good reason. I did excel in track and field but blah, I don't like it now. I am more into my own exercise but I like badminton and ping pong! I also play a mean game of darts, could beat anyone in pool, and am the fooseball queen. Do those count? lol.

I like golf the best but I'm currently on a tight budget and can't afford the greens fees. I also need to replace my 20+ year old clubs! So I mostly go hiking or biking. Lucky for me there's tons of free trails where I live.

As for watching sports Baseball is my favorite, and football is a close second. I sometimes watch golf too, but it's not as much fun with Tiger Woods on the disabled list :(

Well, let's see.  During football season, nothing short of a fire will get me out of my apartment.  People who know me know not to bother me unless it's literally a life or death situation.  I will also watch the occasional CFL or Arena League game.  My teams are the Saints, and of course my alma mater, the UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns.

I follow hockey throughout the season, but I primarily watch it during the playoffs.  Television, by the way, does not do hockey justice.  Anyone who tells me that they don't like hockey but have never been to an NHL game has a worthless opinion as far as I'm concerned.  My team is the San Jose Sharks.

Baseball is my favorite sport to just watch and relax.  In fact, I'm watching the Royals and the Mariners as I'm writing this.  Baseball is also a great sport to see in person.  If I had to pick a team, it would be the Minnesota Twins.  I also love to listen to my alma mater's baseball games on the radio.

I can take or leave basketball.  I follow the NBA mainly to keep up with the Hornets, but I don't really watch it.  I do, however, like college basketball, especially the NCAA tournament.

As for NASCAR, I kind of follow what's going on, but I don't really get into it.  I really don't know if Bodell Jenks, Bodell Jenks Jr., or Bodell Jenks III (see The Simpsons) punched out his teammate in an argument over who gets to have a Powerade sticker on their car.  I did have a chance to go to a NASCAR race once.  Boy, those people REALLY get into it.

Beyond those sports, I'm a Tiger Woods fan, but not really a golf fan per se, so as far as I'm concerned, every tournament from now until he gets back doesn't really count.  I will also watch tennis near the end of a major, World Cup soccer, the Olympics, the Tour de France, the occasional IRL race, and horse racing during the triple crown races.

I also take most of my vacations to see sporting events.  In my life, I have been to 5 NHL arenas, 5 MLB stadiums, 3 NBA arenas, 2 NFL stadiums, and 1 NASCAR track.

In summary, there is not a day in my life that goes by without exposure to sports in some way, shape, or form.

Oh, and no, I don't play any sports.

I used to captain a volleyball team for 5 years. I couldn't spike for the life of me, but I, too, have a mean serve. I was also the guy that had to dig hard to get the ball making sure that it stayed in play all the time. My knees hurt as a result. lol

I'm also hockey fanatic. I guess being Canadian automatically means I'm supposed to like it, which I actually do. I miss going to games and hopefully will be able to soon.

Ok Watching: 1. Baseball 2. Football

I grew up on these sports. I actually 99% totally understand football. My dad worked for the company that made Fenway Franks so I grew up in a meat packing company (thus my not eating meat!). I have a baseball signed by Yaz and the guys back then and several pictures of my dad and Jim Rice. Anyway we are a huge Red Sox family lover although their salaries are obsene.

I don't play any sports. I can't imagine the love people have for golf. But as everyone knows I hike and bike and am now back to classes at the gym rather than on the gym floor. I think at 56 attempting to increase the weight of the weights I lift makes no sense so classes are safer for me and more fun and of course Yoga. My goal is to go with my son-in-law (who is there right now and our daughter is visiting) to a 3 day silent meditation retreat. The only person you can speak to is the Zen Master! Jo

That would NEVER work for me. I talk to my dog, my computer, my TV, myself....

If you go on that retreat. let me know how it was!

I am watching baseball now but does it count that I am only watching to see A-Rod get booed and dissed because he's a bad, bad boy? lol. Oh wait, I looked up and golf is on. My husband is a chronic sports channel changer!

I'll review it for sure! Umm not sure watching A-Rod getting booed counts but if you want it to count then we'll give you the benefit of the doubt:)

The only sport I like to watch is hockey.  Everything else is either too boring or too complicated. I like to play volleyball but don't get the opportunity to do it very often. I'm not very good, but the more I play the better I get (as long as I don't play with boys because they tend to be rude and over competitive).  I also like archery and have gotten pretty good at that. I like to do yoga but don't do it very often as it's cost prohibitive.
