Personalized golf balls and other golfing items are the perfect gift for the golf loving person in your life. My sister, and of course her significant other, have played golf since High School and spend many sunny days scorching themselves while the walk around the golf course spending an enjoyable day "putting" around. — Thanks to their interest in this sport, I have discovered several very unique gift ideas that I can use over and over again, and they never grow tired of them.  How do I do this?  By personalizing!  You can purchase golf polo's, golf tees, golf balls… read full review »

Nike Gym Sack

Nike Gym Sack
strength training, noticing the details, into trying new things, looking for durability, practical, quality conscious, partial to the mountains, a busy person

JUL

When I use the workout room in my apartment complex I often want to bring along a water bottle, a towel, and sometimes even a book if I plan to ride the exercise bike for a while. It started getting awkward to cart all this stuff around, but I didn't want to bring a great big gym bag either. Luckily I found the Nike Gym Sack, which has been perfect for my needs. — The Nike Gym Sack is made of 100% nylon and has a cotton cord through the top to cinch it shut. The cord is affixed to the bottom of the bag. The gym sack measures about 17" top to bottom and about 12" across. The bag does not… read full review »

I've bought my Yoga Balance and Exercise Ball 5 years.  It's been inflated ever since and I honestly figured it would have popped by now, but no way, this thing is really durable.  I have even caught my children playing with it outside and it is still perfect.… read full review »

Avenir Plush Saddle

Avenir Plush Saddle

So...you just bought a new bicycle from Wal-Mart, K-Mart or Target.  You jump on for a ride and "OW, My butt hurts."  You go back to the discount store and look at replacement saddles (seats).  You buy one of those Bell "gel saddles".  No offense...there's your second mistake.  Avenir saddles come standard on Raleigh bikes for a reason; comfort.  Whether it's a comfort bike, a mountain bike or a road bike, there's an Avenir saddle that's right for you. — Short review & to the point...  This is THE MOST COMFORTABLE SADDLE I've ever placed my derriere… read full review »

I've been told by many that Schwinn bikes are the best.  I am looking for a BMX bike for my son and am hoping that Schwin makes one.  The prices are higher than other bikes but I've been told they are worth it.  Looking at them in the store, they seem well built and tough for those who are hard on their… read full review »

Schwinn Mountain Bike

Schwinn Mountain Bike
weekend biker, bike owner, value conscious

JUL

Judging from the picture...this is the same model sold by Wal-Mart.  #1) It's not a mountain bike but a comfort bike.  #2) Steel frame...heavy.  #3) Your lucky to find one assembled correctly from Wal-Mart. — Don't get me wrong...Schwinn sells some fine bikes.  But the ones they mass produce for Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target are JUNK!  Spend a few extra bucks and go to a real authorized Schwinn dealer and check out the Schwinn Sierra GS. (Suggested retail price $299.99.)  Good Morning America/Consumer Reports, 5/16/2008 - "Best Bike For Summer"… read full review »

Intex Inflatable swimming pool above ground

Intex Inflatable swimming pool above ground
into trying new things, a swimmer, value conscious, not rich, cost-conscious

JUL

We elected to spend our meagre entertainment/vacation budget on a backyard swimming pool.  Prices for park district passes have become costly and there is still driving back and forth to facilities with no guarantee on a hot day that you will get in.  We bought this nifty pool that has an inflatable top ring and then you fill...the top ring floats upwards with the water level until the pool is full.  The box comes fully complete with a filter, a strainer, one filter motor, and even a vacuum attachment and hose along with a ladder.  The kits come in varying sizes and depths… read full review »

I purchased a Lemond eTape Women's Road Bike 1.5 years ago from Johnny Sprockets cycling shop in Chicago. Since then my drive to stay active has skyrocketed from -50% to at least +80%. I loved exercising during my college years... primarily running. Not sure what happened after graduation but all motivation to run or weight train vanished somehow. I hate gyms. Aerobics, pilates and yoga classes have never really done it for me either. So I obviously needed some form of exercise that I actually enjoyed. Here's where road biking saved the day. — I contemplated back… read full review »

I really like these clubs. I have used the MP 29's for over 8 years now, so I have always been a Mizuno fan. My buddy bought these a few weeks back and I hit them at the range one day. Very nice club, that seems to be a little more forgiving then my 29's. I didn't really notice a big difference in distance, except on the… read full review »

Okay today I want to persuade you into a more practical way to catch the ever elusive Catfish. Probably one of the most sought after sportfish there is, yes you heard me Sportfish! Many people shy away from catfish and for different reasons. They don't know how or hate to skin them or they have never experienced catching one. Catfish are aggressive fighters once you have hooked them and taste oh so good when cooked properly. — — Well let me tell you something you may not know......Catfish are the easiest fish to clean if you know how.....All you need is a fillet knife and a… read full review »
