If you constantly have trouble with your dog taking off this is the perfect collar to use.  The dog learns very quickly with a tone only correction button to obey basic commands to come or stay.  There is no shock or torture to the dog.  This collar is very easy to use even if you have no previous dog training experience.   This collar will also teach the dog not to bark or chew on things it should not be chewing.
