Candy, Hanks and Hannah charm - Great Kids Films

a movie guru, very picky about kids films

It's a sweet fantasy film, a little too long, a litlle too corny and predictable, but the stars have so much charisma and will make you chuckle and smile so many times, you'll wind up liking it--even if you try your best to resist doing so.

Don't think too much about this one. Just sit back and be entertained.

Hanks is the guy who winds up falling in love with a Mermaid (Hannah) which creates confusion and several awkward and funny situations. John Candy pretty much steals the movie with his fully rounded performance. Eugene Levy is quite funny as well.

All around great movie! Great actors, great story line. A very origional movie thats a definate classic. I absolutely loved the story line! it was very origional and never before done. Tom hanks and darryl hannah were great as the main characters and i loved the comedy bits by john candy and eugine levy, especially when they stole the mermaid. I saw part of this movie on CBC one night then the next morning i was up early researching it and ordering it! its a must see!
