Special Kitty cat food —

Despite all the pet food recall lists, this Special Kitty dry food was NOT on the list. I lost two cats within one month and both were eating this type of food. The first one died so quickly I was unable to get him treated. He was acting fine and within 24 hours he was gone. The other one I took to the vet at the first signs of sickness and the vet confirmed that it was indeed kidney failure due to blockage. The vet did what he could but there wasn't much he could due to save him. He died within 24 hours as well. Even though the "problem" may have been fixed, I will never return to this brand of cat food. Much too risky. Buyers Beware!

I have 2 cats and feed them the indoor variety of special kitty. I have tried Purina and it killed a male cat I had. I have tried other more supposed "healthy" brands and my older cat throws up all the time when I try feeding her anything else. I guess it just boils down to your own cats personal preferances. I love animals and Ilove my cats, they are both happy and healthy on this food.
