The Verdict: Love, love, loved it til it fell apart after a week and I ended up throwing it away. — About Spanx: Higher Power is made of 87% nylon/13% Lycra spandex. It has a cotton crotch. The material is like thick pantyhose with a band around the top which is supposed to help it from slipping down. Great idea, poor packaging

I bought Spanx to eliminate VPL under clingy party dresses I wear to formal events. I followed the sizing guide, spent my $18 and went home. I was looking for a product to wear under a dress. I am very hippy, and the dress seemed to "sit" on my hips. There was a HUGE difference with the Spanx on. I first opened the package and thought "there is no way that I can get into those!!" I had to laugh while I was putting them on as I thought how ridiculous I must look. Overall, I believe they were well worth the price and the struggle. I liked them so much, I have bought a second pair. I starting using Spanx a couple months after I had my son. They are the best product ever made for smoothing and holding everything in. They make your clothes look and fit much better. I wear a pair of Spanx everyday. I will not leave out of my house without them on. I would recommend them to every woman out there. They stay in place with no problems of falling down. Buyer Beware

I have been a customer of Spanx since Oprah's endorsement; however "buyer beware". The quality of this product has dropped over the past year. I wear the Hi Falutin footless pantyhose; I purchase at Nordstrom for $28.00 before tax and they are only lasting a couple of days before tearing were the panty and leg meet. Holes develop with snagging. I spoke with Nordstrom who directed me to the company. I spoke with Spanx customer service and suggested that they check with their manufacturer because I have been experiencing this problem for at least 6 months! "girl shorts" ride up on the thigh

I am new to the Spanx experience. I bought my first pair today (the hide and sleek girl short). The fit was fine, I am basically a size 5/6 so I bought a small. — I only had these on for a short period of time to try them out with the dress I was planning on wearing them with. Spanx don't waste your money if you are a size 16 or higher.

Spanx well, I can tell you that I loved the infomercial and I thought, "Wow, lighter fabric then the support wear you can by at Dillards, it couldn't hurt. When I received them I found out that they are a thinner material however my butt looked line one huge Uni-butt! I found that it is better to just stick with the thicker fabric ones that you get in the store that are not Spanx, also they might be a little more expensive but they still have better support and you look more natural in them without all of your rolls or flab showing. I purchased Spanx Higher Power after seeing it on Oprah. I am a full figured woman with some imperfections to mask. I was attending a Christmas party for my job and wanted to show them how this chick cleans up. I bought the Spanx to wear under a velvet wrap dress. It took me about 30 minutes to get it over my butt. Once I got it on, it worked wonders under the dress. However, the ride over was ridiculous! After i watched Oprah, that same night i order a pair of high power spanx because i thought it will make me look slimmer at my sister wedding. All the stars are rating about it and its really make me want to have it so bad. Spanx are great! Yes they are a little pricey but if it works, so what? I don't have any problems getting into mine and I am over 50 yrs old and of course like most my age not as slim and fit as I once was. But I cannot understand all the other complaints about the time it takes to get into the product especially from some of the younger crowd. Maybe your size was too small.
