Spanx Higher Power Review

Finally a chance to wear the sassy little Grecian style dress I got for Mother's Day.  I admit I avoid wearing dresses, even though I actually prefer them. Or I did until my children thought it was fun to lift them up and play hide and seek during mass.  When I purchased my dress the sales staff suggested Spanx a Higher Power to not only give me a smoother line, but to cover me a bit more should the girls be playing under my skirts again.  

I have read the reveiws, seen the show where Oprah features these and heard celebrities and everyday women state how wonderful these are.  I know I could wear my Spanx Higher Power Everyday, but had my doubts about their comfort and slimming. But I was willing to try it once if it made my dress look that much better. 

I learned quickly, there is a trick to pulling on the Spanx Higher Power, roll them like you would a pair of panty house.  I was actually able to get them on and in position fitting my waist nicely in just moments. To be honest it has taken me longer to get panty hose on - which since I have moved to Houston I no longer wear or I would probably die from heat. 

I liked that they fit well, they weren't too tight at waist, hips, rear, or thighs. WIth Spanx Higher Power I was able to avoid those ugly panty lines, or rolls of body fat that are usually the result of many other lingeries that you use use for slimming and smoothing. Walking, sitting and even going to the ladies room were a breeze (at first a little more of a BREEZE than I was comfortable with walking out of the house).  Note to soon to be wearers - there is an "opening" to make the call of nature more easily answered.  Sort of like on men's boxers or tidy whities. 

Overall I liked them, especially the look and the comfort. The legs on the Spanx Higher Power were a little long and so short dresses may not work so well. I actually pulled mine up a little to make my barely knee legnth sun dress work but you couldn't see the "overlap."  

What did I like best?  I thought that I looked a little heavy in this dress and let's face it I am a big girl, but the dear hubby liked it and my daughters said, "Daddy, Mommy is a Princess tonight, I love her pretty dress."  Now what more could I ask for from my dress and my Spanx, seems like they were a higher power this night. 

Since then, I could even see wearing them everyday, because of the breathe through comfort. So far my Spanx hold up to even a play date in the park , not that takes a "Higher power" some days!
