I was looking for a product to wear under a dress. I am very hippy, and the dress seemed to "sit" on my hips. There was a HUGE difference with the Spanx on. I first opened the package and thought "there is no way that I can get into those!!" I had to laugh while I was putting them on as I thought how ridiculous I must look. Overall, I believe they were well worth the price and the struggle. I liked them so much, I have bought a second pair. The instructions say to hand wash, I put them in a lingerie bag in the washer and line dry, and so far I haven't had any problem. I hope this helps!!
