To the Point

In Seattle we were most interested in the Space Needle located at the large area called the Seattle Center. This is located at 305 Harrison Street. The SeattleCenter is a great area with an arcade; a music museum (that was recommended to us but we never got there) and science fiction museum...

Seated promptly, spectacular view. If you eat in the restaurant, you don't have to wait in the super long lines to go up for the viewing area. Shocked at the minimum of 30.oo per person. We had a very large party with kids, so this was outrageous.Serving sizes small. Small bowl of soup was 9.00. Quality...

My husband and I spent the last night of our Seattle trip up here. We opted to go about an hour before sunset for fun of experiencing it day and night. The sunset was incredible. I got tons of great shots of the sun shimmering across Elliot Bay. There is a coffee shop with all types of drinks, sweets and sandwiches at the top to enjoy. Make sure to check out the gift shop on the bottom floor. It is seriously the biggest gift shop for a monument that I've ever seen. Lots of beautiful gifts including the usual postcards, posters, tshirts and even hand-blown glass and sculptures. Even the walk back... review »

My mom wanted to see the Space Needle, so we went... friend, two children, myself and my mother.  It was a wicked cold day which was probably not our best choice and the lines were also wicked long.  Luckily there was a hot cocoa vendor.  WooHoo!  I'm still grateful for that bit of yumness.  The view WAS very nice, it was a different experience and something we will remember.  Was it worth it?  I'm still not sure.  There are so many beautiful views of the Seattle skyline from other areas and you can enjoy a natural view or park at the same time.  The employees at the Space Needle (at least... review »

I went here for dinner with a couple of friends for a birthday dinner around Christmas time and the place was beautifully decorated. We each got an entree that was price between $50-$60 and we all had enough leftovers for another meal. The food tastes great and we had wonderful service. It was a little dizzying when we first sat down, but we got used to it after a little while.

A reservation at the restaurant also gets you a free ride up to the observation deck!

The space needle is the defining characteristic of the Seattle Skyline, but this means when you are up in the space needle you can not see the defining characteristic of the skyline. The water tower in Volunteer Park is at the same elevation as the top of the space needle and offers 360 degree views of the city, including the Space Needle.

the space needle is a great place to eat if you want to splurge and take you girl friend to a nice restraunt. but i would not eat there on a weekly basis. its a little kind of expensive but worth it for the view you get of seattle. not a first date place, more like a place to celebrate.

The Space needle is a great place to take folks who have come from out of town for vacation or business. You can really see what Seattle is all about, especially at night, the lights are beautiful.
