Lasko Heater - Ceramic Tower Heater - 5132

Lasko Heater - Ceramic Tower Heater - 5132

For many years my Kitchen would get so cold at night, I constantly worried aboutthe pipes freezing.  Our Heating system was old and never really seemed to warm the house.  So about 4 years ago my husband and I agreed upon the Lasko Heater - Ceramic Tower Heater to help us with this problem.

On cold nights we would set the thermostat to 55 degrees so it would only come on in the coldest of situations.  In the morning, we would set it to 70 degrees to help bring up the temperature in the house so the main heater wouldn't run all the time.  We keep the main unitat 68 degrees. The Lasko Heater...

DeLonghi EW7707CM Liquid Fuel Radiator Heater

DeLonghi EW7707CM Liquid Fuel Radiator Heater
Willing to pay for quality

NOV

2009

When I was shopping for a heater I was mostly concerned about safety, that is why I bought the DeLonghi EW7707CM radiator heater. It is portable, quiet and very safe.  Because the DeLonghi EW7707CM is a oil-filled radiator heater (unlike other types of heaters) the surface will never get hot enough to cause a fire.

The heater is small and has wheels so it can be moved easily from room to room.  It is also very quiet because it does not use a fan and it does not creak when it heats up.  Other types of heaters have noisy fans and they also make all types of creaking noises as they heat up and...

My husband and I live in a great attic apartment; we have cool architectural details and windows, but we pay for that with ridiculous gas heating costs. Our utility costs would nearly double come November; anticipating that, we looked for alternative heating sources that would conserve energy.

Our apartment isn't insulated well, and due to the whole attic business we have trouble keeping heat from going through the roof. We researched a couple of options-- radiant heat, ceramic heaters, etc. We didn't want natural gas as we didn't want to install anything, so we went with electric. A friend of...

The furnace went out last winter while my husband was away on a business trip. I didn't notice it until 2am when it was too late to call anyone. I turned on the EdenPure heater on the main floor (where the temp at 2am was 60 degrees) and by 8am, when I got up, it was 70 degrees in the house! I was so surprised in the morning by how comfortable it was in the house. Normally we use it along with the furnace so that the furnace won't have to run as much, I never really paid much attention to how much the EdenPure does to keep the house warm VS the furnace!

After that we are even more pleased with...

DeLonghi Heater - Oil Heater - Radiator

DeLonghi Heater - Oil Heater - Radiator

When living in the Santa Cruz Mountain my residence was a small cottage that had no central heat. I needed a way to heat the cottage as it did not sit on the ground. The cottage was raised off the ground at least one foot so the air flowed freely below the cottage. In the winter I could barely get the temperature above 55F.

I found the DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater and it made it possible to heat the cottage and be comfortable. It isn't as if I wanted the temperature to be 70+. Just comfortable. This was the answer to this particular problem.

Living aboard a rather large sailboat also has particular...

Vanguard Vent-Free Natural Gas Heater Model VN6B

Vanguard Vent-Free Natural Gas Heater Model VN6B
Willing to pay for quality

I have a house built in the 1930s.  It had a gas heater built into the bathroom wall at that time.  Finally the control switch malfunctioned and couldn't be repaired. It was obsolete and couldn't be replaced.  The plumber suggested and installed this one.  It is not obtrusive attached to the bathroom wall, and it has heated my bathroom perfectly.  Turning it on for just a few minutes prior to taking a bath takes the chill off the air and makes the room comfortable.  Last winter my furnace malfunctioned, and I had no heat from it for two days.  I used this heater with the bathroom door open,...

We spend alot of money on heating our home. This year we decided to try out this Holmes indoor heater, because it is electric, space saving, and very decorative. We primarily heat with propane so this has saved us a ton of money.

My DeLonghi space heater is awesome! I have one at home in my loft which tends to get drafty due to my skylight and extra window up there, but I also have one that I bring with me and leave at work in the cold weather. It fits under my desk and keeps me and my toes warm and cozy. It has lasted several years and has an oscillating feature to spread the warmth around the room. I never get that burning smell that sometimes comes from other lower quality heathers and I have purchased these as gifts for friends and family as they go down in price as the warmer weather approaches. If the item tips over,...

I have a patton space heater.  I originally got it for work because the price was right and the ac makes me freeze.  What i like about this heater is that there is a cutoff should it get too hot... which can be a lifesaver.  I have had something fall in front of it and once it got too hot it shut itself off, great if you are like me and forget to turn it off sometimes!  It has a knob to choose heat setting from low to high... i find when its on low basically nothing happens.  Perhaps if it was freezing outside it wuold turn on or something.  there is an oscillate feature, which i never use...

NOV

I received this Lasko Model 5620 Silent Room Heater as a replacement for a recalled oil filled heater.  I had no idea this could heat a room as efficiently and quickly as the oil filled heater.  Wow!  Was I in for a surprise.  Not only is it thermostatically adjustable but it is also programmable in one hour increments from 1 to 8 hours or can be set to run continuosly.  It has performed so perfectly that we no longer use our central heating but use a second Model 5620 in our bedroom.  I plan to order three more and completely eliminate our central heating system which sucks up electricity...

The Edenpure 500 sure beats the socks off every other heater we've had in the past. Energy efficient; cool to the touch; & portable. At $297, it is a steal. We use it in the bathroom, whitch doesn't have a furnace vent, & it's cosy in 5 minutes. In northern Pa. that's really a plus.

Eden Pure Model 1000

Eden Pure Model 1000

NOV

The Eden 1000 gives off very comfortable heat that is not a drying heat. This heater heats a very large area and has appropiate safety features. If it is turned over, it will shut its self off. This heater is cool to the touch so that if a small child should touch it or even sit on it, it will not burn them at all. The heater is a compact, square box that will go into almost any room. During the summer, I even cover it with a small cloth and put an artificual arrangement on top of it. This give an appearance of a short table in the room. We have been using this heater now for about two years... review »

The Honeywell HZ-7200 is one of the best heaters that I have personally ever owned! If you are looking for an inexpensive way to keep your room warm durring those cold winter nights, go and get yourself one of these, you won't regreat it! This heater has adjustable heat thermistat that you can adjust to the temperature of your choice, it will go on and off to maintain that temperature. It is very quiet, I can't hear it running at all! If this product happens to get tipped over, it will automatically shut off until it is in the right position. It is cool to the touch too, unlike some other brands/models....
