A sad commentary on Government control.

I have watched this movie numerous times and it still gets to me. I was a teenager the first time I saw it and it creeped me out badly. The thought of eating humans made me physically ill.  Since then I have come to see eating animals in the same way. Eating the flesh of a living, feeling being still bothers me

I did like the thought of being able to choose when to die and being able to watch something beautiful as you slid slowly into the next life.

The difference between the haves and have nots holds true to these days. I see how differently people live and it makes me sad to think that the things I take for granted are out of reach for some people and believe me, I am not even middle class anymore.

This is the type of movie that can open minds and make a profound impact on those that watch it. A real classic.

Neat to see something from over 30 years ago touching on issues we're facing today. Also this comic was a pretty funny reference to the movie:
