Exquisite-For 5-10 minutes

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I have back and hip problem, so we were looking for a good comfortable bed.  I did not like the Tempurpedic because it was hard to move around.  We found this Southerland Exquisite, which is all foam (different kinds) so you don't have pressure points supposedly.  They told us the top layer of foam, which is like the Tempurpedic, was breathable (no) and would be compressed about a half inch over a couple of years.  It has been 2 yrs and 3 months and when you lie on each side (king size bed) you are in a 2 - 3 inch cacoon.  I would not recomend this mattress at all.  It does feel wonderful when you lie on one in the store or even someone who lies on ours for a few moments they don't really notice (if they are in the middle  of the bed).  We are working on what we can do since there is a 10 year warrenty with no restrictions.  We hope the warrenty is better than the mattress.

The quality is poor. After looking for the right mattress for my daughter we found the Fenton, never bothering to look at price or manufacture. After multiple replacement mattress in 2 years and another most recently the company sent us a new one after months of emails and red tape and a 200.00 shipping fee now we live in a different state they sent a cheap less than mattress almost 3 inches smaller in pillow top ect. Their so called "customer service reps " STINK at their job and there warranty is a JOKE. Be better off going to goodwill then spending money and time with this manufacture !! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!

My husband and I bought a Queen size seabrook bedset appr. two years ago.The mattress is sagging in the middle. My 220 lb husband sat down on the bed we have slept on for two years and the box spring broke. I called the company that i had purchased the set from, the owner came to my house and notified me that since it had a stain on it there was nothing he could do,even though the set was still under warranty. I asked for the main reps number and he would not give it to me. He finally said he would call me back with the number.I thought a warranty was just that being that when I purchased the mattress all these hidden clauses wasn't told to me and I recieved no papers only a reciept that i wa...

Got Sleep?

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I purchase our Southerland Pillow Top bed about 8 years ago. My son is going off to college and would love to get another one and give him ours since its still really nice. I was reading some of these other people's coments that wrote above and I had purchased the S type sets in the past and had never been happy with them. I have had Simmons, and Sealy and both sets broke down almost right away. I think that with mattress sets you have good and not so good ones with any company so if you are thinking about purchasing take all of these things in with a open mind. I have done my own research and found hundreds of unhappy customers that got them from every manufacture. I'm really happy with our set and am looking for another one so if you find something out there that feels good and you like it I wouldn't take anything negative as 100% fact. Love mine and looking to purchase another.

Body impression began after 3 nights!! It's only good for a week

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I bought a Southerland mattress and after three nights, it had a body impression.  I only weigh 150 pounds, so it should last longer than a few nights.  After a month, the "impression" had developed into a deep "depression" which I rolled into each night.  So I take it back to the store, and they will only swap it with another Southerland, a firmer model.  The firmer model lasted four nights before the body impression occurred.  If only the sales people would tell customers that these mattresses are made for small lightweight children.  This was a twin size mattress.  The only good thing about the mattress is that it is so lightweight, I could easily carry it.  When I read the warranty, one of the items listed stated that it doesn't cover is "body impressions"!!  If I had it to do over, I would have taken the money and invested in a name brand mattress.

not what I expected, but thousands less than Tempur Pedic

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

When I was first looking for a new matress I wanted a Tempur Pedic.  but when I went to the only store I purchase furniture at; because they have the best prices and discounts/sales and the most inventory selection then anyother store, next to shopping online, the most basic and cheapest Tempur Pedic was over a thousand dollars, and it was a single sized bed.  I am a tall man 6'7" and a queen is the smallest I can go without my shins and feet hanging over the end, and that puppy was a few thousand dollars, I think in the neighborhood of 6 thousand.  then when I settled on a normal mattress and when I was abo...

I purchased my Southerland bed about two years ago and I love it. I am looking to buy another set for my mom that has back problems. My bed has been the best mattress I have ever slept on and made all my pain go away.

Would'nt buy a Southrland Mattress again.........

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

My husband and I bought a Soiutherland Mattress about a year and half ago, and we are very dissapointed in this product.  The mattress is sagging in the spot where we sleep.  The sales person that we bought it from said that unless the mattress is more than 1 1/2 inches down he could not do anything about it.  The mattress has a 10 year warrenty on it.  I would not recommend this mattress to anyone looking for one.
