A Decent Tasting Meal Replacement Bar

4

If you are looking for something that you can use as a meal replacement that will also satisfy your sweet tooth, the entire line of South Beach bars are worth checking out. The Caramel Peanut Crisp is packed with flavor and gets its protein from soy; if you have issues with soy protein making you bloated or flatulent then you are going to want to skip these. This is a meal replacement bar; it is not something that you should be eating between meals as a snack unless you aren't concerned with the calories and carbohydrates that you are consuming. It is filling but eating it with a glass of water will help to fill you up more than just eating it on its own. The bars contain 180 calories, 5 grams of fat, 290 milligrams of sodium, 25 grams of carbohydrates and 12 grams of protein. Before you buy a box of them you should buy a single serve bar to try it out and see if you like the flavor; you are going to save a little buying the box but if you don't like the taste of it chances are you are not going to eat them and it will be a waste of money. In addition to the protein you are getting from one bar, you are also getting 100% of the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin C and Vitamin E. To get the best taste, be sure to check the 'best by' date on the wrapper or box. Older bars will be hard and dry and the caramel flavoring will be completely absent.
