I'd bought this journal thinking "What a great way to gain a different perspective on why I do what I do...." until I'd used up 2 boxes of kleenex and felt like jumping off a tall structure. I don't need a daily reminder of the "Negative Influences" in my life, or a constant questionnaire of "How do you REALLY feel today?!?" I journal every day. My mother's family is prone to alzheimers, and our tradition of journaling started with my great-grandmother. My thoughts are what matters, not the author's... and her thoughts are downright depressing! $8 at Walmart - black leather cover, fresh white pages, and decades worth of memories don't need a hand-holding.
