I adore Sookie Stackhouse! This is the book series that the HBO show True Blood is based upon. The books are similiar to the show but it's well worth reading. I am addicted to these books. You can read them more than once and still be mesmerized. Sookie is a great female heroine. I believe there are...

I recently purchased the Sookie Stackhouse book set 1-7 because I had heard that there was a series on HBO about them. I wanted to see the shows but I always like to read the books first.

I am currently on book #6 but I find that I have to force myself to pick up the books to finish them. I feel like...

I'm in the middle of the last available Southern Vampire Series novel (at this time) and this series has been one that I have had a hard time putting down.  I tried reading the first novel years ago and had a hard time getting into it but after seeing the new show True Blood on HBO I gained a new interest in reading the series again and haven't looked back since.

I didn't care for Sookie a lot in the first couple of novels but as I've been reading more and more I'm really starting to like her.  She is simple but she has a little bit of sass that really makes her likable and sometimes the character...

You will just love these Charlaine Harris books!  The Sookie Stackhouse series is absolutely brilliant and wonderful to read.  I love mysteries and romance novels.  These books pleasantly combine both of these for a can't-put-down reading!  My step-daughter brought me a couple of them to read this summer while I was unemployed and I fell in love with them.  I have read four of the seven books so far and cannot wait to get the other three to read.  The books combine the romance level, with a mystery level, as well as a science-fiction level.  I love a book that I can imagine in my mind what...

This series of books will reel you from page one. I was completely engrossed and have read all (currently 8 books) and am anxiously awaiting the next installment due out next month.. Charlaine Harris has developed a very cool world of humans, vamps, weres and many more supernatural creatures. If you are not into supernatural stuff or are offended by some harsh language and some pretty detailed sex scenes, then these books are not for you. But if you think you might be able to get into these books, buy Dead Until Dark, which is the first bok of the series. And if you are a True Blood fan, you should...

I am totally blind so I have to get the audeo books. It seems like the first four books are no longer available to the public so I've been having to try and get them from my library then ripping them into MP3 with express rip. I really like her style of writting but I though she was finally going to have a steady boyfriend in Quin. I don't think Charlain Harris should have her forgive Bill for betraying her. The series sure has a lot of interesting plot twists. I'd say it's up there with The Sisters of the Moon series and Cassey Palmer series.

I ordered the set of the first 7 books off Amazon for $30 ($60 at borders!)  after reading the whole twilight saga and wanting more books to read. Sookie Stackhouse series is for an older group vs the 12 year old fan base of Twilight.  I have since purchased the last two books of the set and am waiting for the next one to come out in october. It is very interesting, keeps u wanting more and very entertaining to read. I would highly reccomend these books for people interested in any Vampire books.
