We love our Sony HDTV. The picture is clear and the picture options are awsome. The built-in HDTV kept us from having to get one of those box things. With a digital entenna we are able to pick up several local channels. I am not the most technical person, but even I could set this one up.

We picked out this TV for our family room and what a great TV it is. I will never buy another TV except for Sony and it produces a great and high quality picture. The LCD HD picutre is unbelivable. The TV was at a great price compared to others the same size. Even the picture with out HD is a great quality. We have always purchased Sony and have always had great TV's. People who are looking to buy a Sony LCD TV should buy it as they will not be disappointed on their asset. This TV will last a long time!

Although I am a first time LCD TV purchaser, I did a lot of research before buying.  Given the size of my family room, a 40-inch LCD appeared to be the best choice; I picked Sony because I've owned several and they all performed great!  After hooking up Comcast HD cable I was blown away with the picture.  Unfortunately, not all channels are broadcast in HD so it's a little disappointing when switching to a non-HD channel, but still much better than the old analog CRT.  Additionally, sports channels like ESPN-HD are great.  I am definitely ready for the Cubs march to the post season and World Series!!

I was choosing among sevaral brands before I finally bought Sony Bravia. I tried Samsung in-store and had LG before, but none of them provide such a superb picture views like Sony. And it is quite affordable for this type of quality

I had purchased this television a little over a year ago, It is an amazing difference compared to the 32 inch analog television that I was using. I am able to hook up my computer to the television through an s cable, It is so convient and movies look great on it. You can even hook up the s cable and use the computer itself through it, it is sureal.the only problem that I have been experiencing about every couple of weeks for about the past six months the sound will go out. You have to turn the television off wait a few seconds then turn it back on to get the sound to work.Other than that I can not really think of any other problems that I have had with my sony bravia television other than I wish It was larger.

Had this TV for a year now and like it for it's size and picture quality. It is the perfect TV for our bedroom. It does not compare to the LED TV I have nor the plasma but it is an awesome TV in its own right, I don't hesitate to recommend this TV to anyone. Works great, not a problem, awesome picture and good value.

We bought our first flat panel LCD tv and it's a 40" screen, Sony Bravia.  We debated on whether to get a larger screen and decided against it, but now we wish we would have bought the 46" because 95% of the time we are actually watching a screen size of 30"!  I knew at the time that if we were't watching HDTV that it would be smaller, but didn't realize it would be that much smaller.  Yes, we have HDTV on our cable, but most of the time we are recording programs on our DVR to watch later, and we don't have room on the DVR to record in HD.  We so rarely watch something that isn't recorded. All in all, this is a great tv, great picture, easy to program and adjust.  No complaints about it other than the size, but that's our fault!  I like this one better than the new models too because this is the last model they made that you can swivel the tv.  I was told they stopped offering that on the tv's because of cost.  They always dis-improve stuff instead of keeping the good things about an item.

M family bought this Sony KDL40V2500 almost two years ago. It was our first LCD HDTV, so we not only did online research for the specification but we also went out few times to different electronic stores where we could compare all the LCD HDTV. I think this is a very important step for buyers to compare the TVs, because people may be quite subjective with the colors on the screen; some people like warmer color yet some people like sharper color. We went to the store to compare the TVs, and we realized that the colors/resolution really differs in terms of brand; it does not vary much between models, rather, any brand would have its own type of color/resolution. So we decided to look into Samsung, Sony LG, and Panasonic; in the end we chose Sony, not only because we are familiar with the brand, but more importantly, we see the quality inside the Sony KDL40V2500 LCD HDTV. It is our primary TV at home, and we use it every single day. It's been almost two years but never had any problem!

We bought the Sony Bravia 40" tv as a reward.  We couldn't be happier with this decision!  We actually purchased two other tv's first, but after getting each of them home and trying them out, we were VERY disappointed with the picture quality.  Finally, we went for this tv.  Everything from the picture quality in standard definition, to the picture in HD, to the sound quality was perfect.  We own a blu-ray player and this has turned our home movie experience into something special!  Although the tv wasn't cheap, we justified it with the fact that we rarely go out and this would basically be our entertainment.  The tv was incredibly easy to set up and my husband was able to have it done fast.  Our neighbor fell in love with it when he saw it and purchased one for his house and now that we have finished our basement, we are in the market for a t.v. to put down there.  Without a doubt we will purchase another Sony Bravia...only maybe a larger screen this time!
