Size does matter -- and this laptop is big in brains and beauty

I got this laptop because it was beautiful. :)  I also got it because the one I had wanted, the 13" bright-green colored one, was completely sold out both online and in-store.  I was really disappointed the day I found it that one was sold out, but now I'm really glad since I have this beauty instead.

The X-brite technology really makes a difference.  While it also drains the battery like no tomorrow, and is probably not great for my eyes over long periods of time, it also saves me from eye strain and makes everything clear and stand out well.  The larger screen of this laptop as compared to the ones of tiny, more portable laptops is also a big plus for me.  I don't mind carrying around the extra pound or two for all the advantages.  Also, the harddrive is bigger, there's more internal power, etc. etc. etc.  Basically this laptop has it all. :)

Another thing that I actually liked, although many people may not find beneficial, is the bulit-in memory card reader.  It only works for Sony brand memory cards, though.  Because I'm such a big Sony fan, I've got the works, including the camera, so this makes it really easy for me to pop pictures in from my camera.

Hmm.. not much more I can think of off the top of my head except that this laptop has endured several frightening drops with not much physical damage, and all parts are still working great.  (Yes, I have a case, but it's unfortunately NOT on the laptop whenever I drop it!)  I've been using the laptop for about 2 years and it's still really fast (although of course I keep it in top condition by reformatting every few months, etc.).  I'm a student, and this laptop has turned into both laptop and desktop with a laptop stand (I got a folding metal one that is really compact when not in use, so it's great), and allows me to work long hours in complete comfort.

You say:
"I keep it in top condition by reformatting every few months".

The techie in me can see the appeal to wiping the hard drive clean then starting over - but every few months?
After re-installing Windows, the Service Packs, Windows updates then your favorite software and your data - there goes the weekend. Why not perform a weekly deep Scandisk, a virus scan then Defrag? Hey, but it's your weekend, right?
Glad to see that after 2 years and a few drops your laptop is still performing well for you - no cracks in the screen or the case. Some laptops give it up after the first drop test.
