My girlfriend bought this computer when it was still new. Within a month of owning it the SD card reader quit working. As I am fairly knowledgeable with computers and electronics, I started to sort out the problem. Checked the drivers, they were fine. The Sony memory card slot still worked. So, instead of calling it in I decided to take it apart and see what was going on. Upon examining the card reader one of the pins for the SD slot had completely broken off the motherboard. A little bit of solder fixed it. Then a few months later the computer just quit. Wouldn't boot at all. Tried everything I could. Finally called Sony since the computer was under a year old. They sent somebody out and I did such a good job taking the computer apart the tech couldn't tell I had done it so they replaced the motherboard. Computer worked fine. Just last week, the OEM Windows 7 quit booting. The computer would POST and the Windows loading screen would come up, but then a black screen with a frozen cursor. Had to remove the hard drive, attach it to my workhorse computer and salvage all the important files and documents before installing a non-OEM copy of Windows 7. Now that it is back up and running without all of Sonys bloatware, the computer is actually half-way decent. Much more perky and responsive than it ever was before. My advice, stay away from Vaios. Stick with HP or Asus. Ease of Use Not unlike most laptops. Turn it on and go. Battery Life Lasts a pretty good while, even for being over a year old. Support & Service I thought it was weird that they actually sent a tech out to my home for a laptop repair instead of sending it in to a service center, but they were fast, friendly, and easy to deal with. And since the tech came to us, it was probably much faster than waiting to for shipping back and forth. Speed/Performance VERY sluggish with all the Sonys bloatware and useless crap they have installed and running. The computer runs better now with a clean Windows install and leaving out all of the other stuff. Design It looks nice. Durability Scratches easily and evidently the SD card on the INSIDE of the computer can break off for no reason.

I've owned this computer for little over a month now and I have to say I am extremely happy with my purchase! The last laptop I owned was a 5-year old Gateway that I finally passed on to my kids because it wasn't able to run media as fast as I needed it to. I finally decided on buying the Sony Vaio after doing much research and can honestly say it was the best purchase I could have made in this price range. If you're looking for an affordable laptop that has the speed and ability to run several programs and/or media at the same time, this one handles it with ease. It comes pre-loaded with some great software like Windows Office (starter edition) which includes Excel and Word and Windows Live which offers fantastic photo editing software called "Photo Gallery"! Overall, I have found this laptop to be extremely user friendly and simple to use and I would highly recommend this computer to anyone!

I was looking for a sony laptop for my sister since she is very specific on the Sony brand. I have always heard great reviews on sony laptops and im a big sony products fan. i searched in different websites and read lot of different reviews on different models of the sony laptop and finally decided to go with the **Sony VAIO VPCEE23FX PC Notebook. **I oredered it from amazon and was eagerly waiting for this one to arrive. I got my laptop and i have been using this for the last couple of weeks to configure and give it to my sister and i should say im pretty impressed. it has a great dual core processor and it is super fast. this laptop has 4 gb of RAM and has windows 7 64 bit Operating system installed. It starts up pretty fast and i love the look and feel of this laptop. It has the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 display which is pretty good. Battery lasts upto 3 hours. Now, im looking for a sony laptop for myself after playing with my sister's laptop. I have not had any issues until now and it is pretty sweet. Great for the price.

I have had the Sony Vaio for a while now and I love it.  I still use Windows Vista on this machine because I have never had any problems or reasons to upgrade the os.  I am using it right now to make this review.  I play many video games and it works well for World of Warcraft, Fate, as well as other high requirement video games on medium settings.  The only issue that I have had with this product is that my usb ports quit working for a while, and Sony quit releasing the drivers for the Vaio, however after reverting to a previous backup the usb ports started working again and I have not had the problem since.  It is a very comfortable lap top to sit on the couch, bed, or even a recliner with, and does not overheat.  The style is a good design how ever I would like to see it come in more colors and I firmly believe that all lap tops should come with a cooling fan attachment.  All in all this is a good computer at a good price.

I got this computer on christmas couple years ago and I really love it. Before i got this laptop i never had a laptop before and now if i am going to buy a new one i will buy the same one in the future, It holds over 3,000 songs and pictures on my computer and i mostly buy music for this computer. If yall looking for a computer buy this computer and will not regret it.
