The color and design is great as well. For a college student or recent grad (like myself!) It is light weight, and so easy to use. Sony has great software that comes with the laptops as well. The only problem is, if you tend to get a lot of viruses' you may want to stay clear of a sony. The reason I say this is because the system is very hard to redo. Don't lose your install disks, because if you take your computer back to the place you bought it, they will charge you to redo your system, and wont even give you the sony programs! Also, it is extremely difficult to redo the sony system because it fights with you. Thats right, the sony laptop fights with you.
Some problems I have encountered with this laptop are, first the battery. It doesnt last at all when off of the power source in the wall. Maybe about 30 minutes and askes to he hooked up. Second, is the fan. This laptop gets extremlly hot and the fan sounds like it is going to explode, or die. obviously not a good sign. I should replace it, but in all honestly , I am just waiting for the thing to die .
Pros: light in weight, nice design, smooth key pads, unique programs, does the job.
cons: battery is horrible and doesnt work unless connected to power source, expensive, fan is loud, gets very hot.
Well, all in all , I say its a good computer, I own it myself, and like it. (except for the fan and the battery ) Its good for checking email, surfing the internet, and photo files storage. If you want to do gaming, or graphic design, I dont think you should invest the money into this laptop simple because they are expensive and you may not get what you are looking for.
