BEST LAPTOP!

By

from Gardena, CA

Comments about Sony VAIO Series Black Notebook Computer - VPC:

this is a very good laptop. I recently bought this laptop for really cheap at the microsoftstore. And worth every penny!!!!!  This laptop runs on an i7 processor and it is really quick i can multi task almost anything. The 1gig video card lets me play almost any game possible. I run Hon and Sc2 without any problems on the highest quality without any lag. The screen is a nice and big for high quality games and movies. Also the blue ray player is awsome. I just plug in the blue ray and watch from my laptop or connect it to my tv and watch blue rays without having to pay for another blue ray player and the hdmi output. The video and sound is excellent. Anther good thing about this is the led keyboad.

Some Cons:

Horrible battery life... I seriously get about 1hr30mins of my laptop unplugged... But i usually take out the batter when i use it so that i dont drain the battery life out of the laptop. I had another vaio and the batter for that laptop went to shit. It literally has 1% battery life fully charged.  Another thing that was bad is that there are no volume controls. Not a big deal but it would be more convenient rather than clicking the icon and always adjusting the volume. (my solution was to get a extra keyboard to use when i hook it up to the tv that has a volume adjuster)

Great Computer

Comments about Sony VAIO Series Black Notebook Computer - VPC:

This is an all around great laptop. The Sony Vaio F has many great features. I had mine customized with a Blu-Ray drive and the 1920x1080 HD display. Its a great combo for watching BR movies. Its the i7 processor and 6GB RAM this computer can handle heavy processing. CAD rendering is handled very well with this machine. Ive only had it for about a week and have nothing bad to say about it, The Backlit keyboard is very nice, altough the sensor can falsely see the screen's light and think its bright in the room, but this can be fixed by tilting the screen back. One thing I'm not impressed with is the audio quality, but I am biased as a heavy music listener. The music can sound 'tinny' at times missing the low end of the music sperctrum. The media controls located above the keyboard is very handy. And I wish there were dedicated volume controls instead of having to use the function button with the 'f' keys.

I love it

By

from New York, NY

Comments about Sony VAIO Series Black Notebook Computer - VPC:

I'm a huge Sony fan. Everything I own is a Sony product - I have a Bravia, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android phone, a Cyber-Shot camera, etc. etc. And my loyalty isn't blind. Before I commit myself to buying a new gadget or electronic product, I read all reviews to make sure I'm not buying something just for the name. I contemplated for a long time between all my laptop options and the F series fit my personality and usage needs perfectly. I love movies and HD quality. It comes with a Blu-Ray player and a 1080pi screen. I like sitting on my bed to use my computer - a lot of times in the dark. It comes with a lit up keyboard that glows a pretty blue-white LED color. The number key pad is very useful cuz I work with numbers a lot. The only problem I have with the computer is the fact that their are no dedicated volume buttons. You have to press FN and the respective Function # button in order to increase or decrease your button. I mean, for a media replacement desktop laptop, the engineers really should've put some volume buttons or even a toggle next to the play, stop, pause, rewind, forward buttons!!! All in all, a great, reliable and beautiful machine that has met all my expectations. It burns CDs and DVDs really well too.
