Received as a Christmas gift (first generation of Dream Machine). CD player never really worked well. Died about 6 months after set up (CD player), radio reception is poor and has an archaic dial for locating stations. Buttons starting to go, as well.

I've been using this clock for as long as I remember, and it hasen't let me down yet! It has a really loud beeping alarm that always gets me up, and has a radio alarm if you like to be awoken a little more gently. The clock also has an internal battery so it will keep its time even if the power goes off. A very good clock in general.

This Sony Alarm Clock is easy to use and to set, and easy to figure out from the time you take it out of the box. It has a lot of different options in terms of what sound you wake up to, and I really like that feature. You do not have to wake up to a terrible jarring sound. This has worked well for me and still keeps time beautifully after 4 years!

We have had this clock for 4 or 5 years with no problems whatsoever. But, today it turned off daylight savings time two full days early causing all of us to be an hour late to school and work! The clock otherwise functions fine. I'm not sure how to turn these features off so the clock is now a paperweight.

Most alarm clock radios get very poor reception, but my wife has been very pleased with the radio on our Dream Machine. In addition, the clock keeps the precise time. You don't even have to set the time, only the time zone. The Dream Machine receives a radio signal that keeps the time and also adjusts it for Day Light Savings. My wife is also a huge fan of the big snooze bar.

I picked up this alarm clock not knowing it's wonderful features. However, after plugging it in I discovered the radio with the very clear sound. I have never used a radio that doesn't sound crackly or muffled. THIS alarm clock gets perfect connection and the amazing speakers provide good sound quality. It also has automatic daylight savings time settings that automatically changes the time by an hour during daylight savings season. There is an option to change the alarm tone to the radio station of your tone. This is an amazing feature that my old alarm clock did not have and is a quality example of personalization. It is extremely easy to change your alarm time. All you have to do is turn the knob/switch left or right. This option is so much more easier and efficient than pressing buttons in settings. Overall I believe that this is THE alarm clock to buy considering the fairly reasonable price tag on it. May opinion is that you should buy it.

I have the sony dream machine alarm clock in my room. I have to admit this is a great tool to have if you need to wake up early in the morning before 9 AM. I have had this product for more then 5 years, and have not had any problems with the battery or the alarm clock itself. It is very easy to use and operate. You can set your alarm clock for which every time you need to with no hassle, and the clock automatically adjust to daylight savings time also. Another feature I like about this product is that before you go to bed, you can listen to the radio stations available in your area to help you relax and go to sleep, which I do every night. It helps calm my stress level. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that needs to wake up early in the morning and wants to keep track of their time. However, for younger children, it may be a little challenging to adjust the time and alarm clock settings. Overall this is a great product to use, and you can buy this product at walmart for a reasonable price.

I have this alarm clock and I love how I can set two different times for it to go off. It plays cds, and the radio. My only complate is that if the buttons get pushed too far they get stuck. It is also very easy to read. You can use traditional alarm or cd or radio. And trust me, it will wake you up.

I did plenty of research before I bought this clock radio. I knew I wanted one with a radio alarm. I couldn't stand waking up to a jangling or a beeping. Pretty, soft music. That's my style. After reading all the great reviews and looking at my check book, I decided on this Sony and I am not sorry I did. I was amazed when I plugged it in and the time was already set. No fiddling trying to program it to my time. (always a few minutes fast). What I like about it are the large green numbers. If I wake up in the middle of the night and look at the clock, I don't have to squint to see what time it is. The radio reception is generally not great in my neck of the woods (literally) so I didn't expect much. But I was able to tune into an acceptable station that came in amazingly clear. This past winter we've had a few power outages and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the clock did not have to be reset from that awful blinking 12:00. It just came on again as if nothing happened. Whoever invented this clock radio is a genius! If you want a great buy with an amazing, gifted clock radio, get the Sony Dream Machine. It's the smart thing to do.

I like this alarm just fine. I have had it for a few years and it has made it through two toddlers and through a couple of moves. It is very reliable and I have had no issues with this alarm. I think it is easier to set and change the time than other alarms I have had in the past. I must say the beeping is seriously annoying to me though. It starts off slow and then gradually speeds up until it is blaring at super speed. The tuner dial is a little dated, but I don't expect a high tech alarm for the price I paid. It has a battery backup that ensures you will wake up for work even when the electricity has gone out. I think it has an overall appealing look. My husband has a different sony alarm on his side of the bed that we have had no problems with. Bottom line, it's worth the money.
