I've owned this set for 3 years now.  Still looks as great as the first day, and still holds up well compared to current sets. Remember that all projection sets are not created equal.  This set uses 3-chip LCOS for the imaging -- NOT DLP.   So the image and color sepaation is simply wonderful.  No rainbows.  I have a preference for projection sets because it's nearly impossible to see pixels.  Which some may argue is a reduction of clarity, but this set does an absolteuly wonderful job at balancing resolution with pixel-hiding. The on board speakers are (as always) nothing to sneeze at, but there are plenty of connections and two hdmi ports. 3 years, lots of hours, still haven't had to replace the lamp (knock on wood).  But if I ever do have to replace it, there is a user-serviceable door and I can do it myself.  Some other projection sets -- you have to call a technician...  to replace a lightbulb???? All in all a great TV!
