When I bought the Sony S-Air wireless speaker system for my IPod Touch I did not know what to expect. I Have been looking for a speaker system with good and strong sound. Something that would not be so expensive but at the same time not so cheap that it would affect its quality. When I saw it advertised on ShopNBC, I liked it. Of course I ordered it but I was still a little skeptical until I received it.
It has a base with the IPod dock and a remote control for it. This base has also button controls for illumination of the base, band, system menu, and tune. It brings 2 speakers. Each with its own remote control. Each also has button controls for pairing the speakers to the base, for tuning, on-off, cancel, preset, volume, sleep, clock, and timer. Why? Because each base has a radio tuner that can be operated independently from the base. You can have the base and one speaker in your living room and the other speaker in the bedroom or outside in your backyard and listen to your IPod through both speakers but lets say someone in the backyard wants to listen to the radio instead. Well, you can continue to listen to you IPod in the living room speaker while the other speaker is set to the radio or vice versa. Each speaker also has a digital window that you can set to show the name of the artist or the song being played, or just the time.
The sound is pretty decent. You are not going to get 200 watts sound but is strong enough for entertaining. I also have satellite radio on the IPod and its great through this speaker system. Needless to say, I like it and it's a keeper.
