I saved for 2 months and was deciding between the Wii, Xbox 360, or the Playstation 3. I even talked to geeks in a chat room, and read everything they said. Which was rather difficult, as I don't know a lot of "tech speak." I read reviews, did my research, and I decided to get the 40 gig Playstation 3.

It includes the console, a usb cable, wireless controller, and a Blu Ray version of Spiderman 3. I don't have an HDTV, but I love free movies! I also got the 5 free movie rebates, which arrived in less than a month.

Unfortunately, most of the games available are FPS (First person shooters.) I do not like FPS,and it seems that that's all video game companies make anymore.

The PSN (Playstation Network) has demos, trailers for movies and blurays, and down-loadable content and games. It is free, unlike Xbox Live.

The graphics are very nice. Even though I don't have an HDTV, I can enjoy beautiful graphics.

I would recommend the 40 gig PS3 if you are strapped for cash, and never play PS2 games. It WILL play PS1 games.

One more word of advice : It's a shiny black. I suggest putting at towel over the top of the system. The vents aren't on the top, so don't worry. It doesn't overheat, I accidentally left mine on for 10 hours and it was fine.

I don't hate Xbox, I just can't stand the controller.

I like all the features on my Wii System, I have a PS2 but don't think a PS3 is in my future. ;) Ron
