We had the original playstation 2 which was bulkier and sat flat on the floor or table and it broke so the replacement we were sent was the new slim design Playstation 2.  At first I was weary because it didn't appear that it was going to be able to stand up to the wear and tear of my two young boys but it has done outstanding!  We had the replacement for four years before it started refusing to read disks for no apparent reason.  When we went out to get another I found that the price had dropped to only $100. A long time ago I purchased a Ps2. I believe that it used to be the best system on the market, and still probably is. It has the widest selection of games from any system. It controls are very easy to learn. The Ps2 can also be used as a DvD player (lucky for me since my Dvd player died on me) It is perfect for anyone because of how large of a selection of games it has. We love the Sony Palystation 2 at our house.  Our three children - ages 6, 10, and 12 all love to play games on it.  We have over thirty different games and we love the variety.  There seems to be something for everyone in the whole family.  Some of our favorite games are Lego Starwars, Lego Batman, ATV Offroad Fury, Tony Hawke, any Star Wars games, and many others.  The kids love to play with their friends and I even play Guitar Hero with my twelve year old son.  It is a blast, and I love the 80's music on Rocks the 80's!

My review on the ps2 slim is that they should have made it alot better than they did. in other words not a good game system
