Our 5 kids, as well as my husband are big ps2 fans. The variety of games is wonderful. We can find appropriate games for our 6 year old (that she loves, by the way) as well as many games that our older children find exciting. We have both boys and girls and again, there are games available for all of them. We have had our system since it came out, 3 years ago I think, and it still works fine, despite frequent use- and use by younger children. A neighbor complained that he had to replace his twice. After my husband looked at the "broken" consoles, he cleaned them and they worked just fine. Don't neglect to try a simple solution such as a cleaning before replacing what apears to be a broken PS2.
