I was looking for a new camera and I wanted it to take videos better than my Kodak C433 Camera. Well, this fell into my hands. The device itself is very easy to use, takes up very little storage, and some options are just plain out awesome. I like how I can view/record media while watching a TV screen. I also like the USB Connectivity and software. I like how it uses a Memory Stick rather than just an SD Card. The roatating camera is very nice and adds a nice touch. The videos it takes are clear and crisp and they look wonderful. You also can do a self-camera, which I really like. However, the Zoom on this camera is horrid. With a x3 optical zoom, you better be close. I'm used to a x12 Optical Zoom (note that). This is a huge downgrade when taking pictures. I use a Green Screen to do Chroma Key effects and this camera does terrible for pictures. The pictures are blury and hard to see. However, I like the Camcorder because it takes High-Def videos-that is what I wanted.

We bought the Sony Webbie digital camera for my son, who just turned 10.  He is no more advanced than most 10 year olds, but most 10 years do know more than those of us in our 30s and 40s, don't they?  He had been begging for his own digital camera for a year and his birthday was the perfect opportunity.  We worried that we wouldn't be able to find a camera that was reasonably priced without looking too kiddy. This was the perfect choice for us! This camera is simple enough for him to operate after only a brief lesson from dad.  It's also youthful enough for his enjoyement with a swivel eye lense and small size. It's great for his age, but what is really great is that it will still be the perfect camera in a year or two!  The price on the Dell website beat any we could find on the stores' websites- and think of all the gas we saved!  He loves it and is having a lot of fun video taping our dog, his brother, and unfortunately our dirty house!  It is a great first camera!

The camera is pretty good. It is HD so that is nice. However, if the lighting isn't great, your picture or video will not be either. Also when you are recording a video movements you make really show up so you need a steady hand.
