Sony MDR-XD100 Consumer Headphones —

The Sony MDR-XD100 headphones are awesome!!  I needed a better set of headphones for my new iPod Nano, so I ordered these.

It has been long time since I have used over-the-ear headphones.  I was pleasantly surprized by the Sony MDR-XD100 headphones.  They fit over my ears in a very comfortable manner, and the sound they deliver is great.

The cord is longer than on any other headphones I have.  That is not really bad, since I am sometimes tethered to something by a cord that is not too long.  But this cord is so long that when I am walking around with my iPod, I have to coil part of it up to keep it from dragging the ground and tripping me.

These do not have the sound-cancelling feature found in much more expensive models.  When I walk along a busy street the traffic noise drowns out the music.

It is almost funny, I hook mu little bitty iPod Nano to these big cluncky headphones.  But I get a great sound.
