Sony Headphone with great quality but cheap material.

I have used this to DJ for more than 2 years. These are great headphones to use for DJing. When DJing at a club, it doesnt cancel out all the noise but when mixing, you hardly notice the sound. Great crisp sound with amazing beats. this has a quarter inch gold platted connection that can be detach for the use of a regular headphone jack. It comes with a small pouch to use to travel. These have reverse earcups which is convenient for on shoulder use. These headphones contain a soft cushion on the earcups which make it comfortable to use. These can be folded for portability. One of the best headphones that is cheap. The main problem with these headphones is that the material they used to hold the earcups is cheap. By folding and unfolding many times, the material tends to wear out and will eventually break. Overall, these are great headphones to use at a club for cheap but the plastic material they used is cheap as well.

These Sony headphones are among the best for professional use

Sony has been making studio and club headphones for years with the MDR-V500 and V700 headphones; the time and experience means quality, through and through. These headphones aren't meant for casual listeners (i.e., these aren't your first choice, necessarily, if your only audio system is an iPod or Zune), but if you're a mobile or club DJ looking for a reliable pair of headphones with good dynamic response across a wide frequency range, a solid build, and an air of respectability, then these are right up your alley. The MDR-V500s feature closed cups, with a sturdy swivel hinge that rotates a full 180 degrees; the range of motion is handy for people looking to use single ear monitoring. The standard cord is just a shade longer than 3 meters (10 feet), and has a gold-plated 1/8" mini plug; the retail package also comes with a 1/4" gold-plated adapter plug, perfect for mixer inputs. A great buy, and personally highly recommended (I have owned at least 1 pair of Sony DJ headphones every year since late 90s).
