Astonishing Sony LED TV

By

from San Jose, CA

Comments about Sony KDL-NX810 55 in. 3D HDTV LCD TV:

Just bought this TV for myself as a Christmas present and I came to the conclusion that this was the best choice I ever made in my life.  Right when I opened the box the slick look just amazed me. The screen is only glass (well, that might be a downside for some people, but it adds to the quality and the look), which also makes it easier to clean it when it gets dirty. When I turned it on it amazed me more than any TV out there.  Sharpest screen ever.  I have had this TV for 2 weeks and I haven’t really found any problems with it, except some software downsides that I will talk about in short.

It has optimized internet applications that helps you get started with HD and without having cable TV. Its of course very limited and in “beta” testing, but it does a very great job at this very initial try.

Some little issues that you might wonder about. As I mentioned the internet applications are limited and you are not able to add apps that you want and you can only use what is already on there.

All in all, 2 thumbs up for this TV. :)

Great TV but disappointing accessories

By

Comments about Sony KDL-NX810 55 in. 3D HDTV LCD TV:

I received this television a couple weeks ago and am blown away by it's picture quality.  In my opinion it has the best picture I've seen on a 55inch LCD/LED.  In a tv of this price the 3d transmitter should have been built in as it's very tacky looking to have that thing exposed.  The 3d glasses are incredibly uncomfortable to me and both of my daughters.  My 13yr old was excited to get a 3d tv but now won't even put the glasses on anymore.  I don't really care about the widgets but since they're built into the tv I must say they are awful.  The yahoo widgets are useless.  They take forever and a day to load.  The pandora and slacker radio are great to have built in along with netflix.  The sound quality out of the speakers is poor but I expect this from any led television.  We purchased the Sony HT-CT350 soundbar and are pleased with it for it's price and size.  If it wasn't for the 3d glasses and yahoo widgets(which they should just remove) I'd give this tv 5 stars.

The Sony KDL-55NX810 is definitely money well spent!

Comments about Sony KDL-NX810 55 in. 3D HDTV LCD TV:

The Sony KDL-55NX810 55 inch 3D HDTV LCD TV is definitely money well-spent. The liquid crystal display is truly crystal clear, especially with high definition cable. The installation process was very easy and only took a maximum of thirty minutes for auto programming. It is also very large at fifty five inches and is great for video games such as Call of Duty Black Ops. The delivery process was prompt, and the interface is very easy to use. Also, it is great for three dimensional movies such as Monsters vs. Aliens. I bought extra pairs of glasses to go along with the 3D movies. Overall, a worthwhile buy. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a television to purchase. Although it was quite pricey, it comes with an extended two year warranty. The only thing I find wrong with it other than the relatively high price, is the price of 3D movies I now have to buy for my kids!
