KDL-46NX700 is the LCD TV to beat
The first thing you will notice about this television is how beautiful is it when it's turned off. Sony did a great job with its monolithic styling that includes covering the screen and border with glass ("gorilla glass") that makes the TV look stunning. It's difficult to tell in pictures and videos, but when you see it in person, it's great. It featues edge-lit LED lighting which has its pros and cons. I love the fact that I'm saving a little on my energy will though I'm sacrificing in picture quality. The last three edge lit LEDs I had (LG LE5400, Samsung 6300, and Samsung 5500) all had problems of creating a uniform screen when it was displaying a solid color. You'd either see light blacks, flashlighting, clouding, or just a screen that looks like wrinkled paper (on a white screen). This TV was different though. Very dark blacks, very minimal flashlighting, and almost uniform picture. The viewing angles suck if that matters to you, but then again, it's a Sony. This TV also has a lot of internet features like streaming audio/video which is great with its integrated WIFI. I love this piece of beauty. It looks great turned off and on, motionflow works great, and lots of features. I just wished the price was cheaper.
