I am a big television and movie fan so having a decent sized television with great picture quality is a priority for me. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase of this Sony Television. HD channels and Blu-ray discs look great for the most part - very crisp and clear with no noticeable pixelation. Colors seem to reproduce accurately. It is capable of producing better deep blacks than the other television that I have and the brights also look good. I appreciate that the screen is designed to reduce the reflection of light (my lamps barely show a reflection), though I wish the the edge of the TV was designed the same way. The 4 HDMI inputs allow me to keep multiple devices hooked up simultaneously which I appreciate (though no ethernet port). I haven't played around a lot with the picture settings so I don't know how much of a difference in calibration they produce, but you can do a fair amount of customization. They have Vivid and Standard presets, plus you can create a custom setting by adjusting backlight, brightness, hue, color, sharpness, etc. Overall, it is a solid TV.

Sony Bravia's truly are the best value and quality for the money. After months of research, which included in-store demonstartions, I was convinced that Sony Bravia's had the best options and picture. To begin, the HDTV has excellent whites and blacks, which are important for many movies and television shows. Second, the number of options is staggering. The first time the user opens the menu, he or she is immediately greeted with every possible option to customize viewing needs. What further improves the experience is the Bravia Sync functions, which allow Sony products, such as sound systems and Blu-Ray Players, to communicate with the television. These options alone give the experience a true "Next Generation" feel. Finally, the size of the HDTV is what makes it the best value. At 46 inches, this HDTV is the one that will impress guests and maintain the perfect viewing experience. I highly recommend Sony Bravia's over other sets, and this one beats the others by a wide margin.

I bought LC TV about a year ago and it is a great purchase for the money. I went to Sony because my old tube televisions from sony are still working. I decided to get a Visio two years ago and it just broke. The repair cost was just too high. I then decided to go for a Sony since they are a reputable brand and their products do last very long. I am very happy with this LCD TV because the picture quality definitely outshines my broken Visio. The sound quality is like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Kia. They sound is so much clearer and actually sounds like surroud sound. Even though this Sony LCD cost much more then other brands, I believe that the quality and reliabilty of this TV will be well worth it. Go for a Sony TV if you are looking for a new one.

The image is very clear and so is the sound, just like the audio equipment of sony this tv has outstanding audio, the handling is very easy and comfortable, anybody can install this tv. The Sony KDL-46EX500 46 in. HDTV LCD Television is well worth the price. I have always stuck with Sony televisions and I do not think I will ever switch. The Sony television is a very crisp and beautiful picture that is easily the best quality I have ever seen. The sound on this television is absolutely superb. You do not need to blast the volume very high to hear but if you do feel the need to do exactly that it will feel and sound like you are right there in the middle of the action! I sometimes find that the size of televisions can be either too small or too big but I find the 46 inch television is the perfect size. I do not believe I need to go any higher but no matter what, if I do decide to change the size, I will continue to stick with the Sony name. I can not think of one negative aspect about this television. I wish I was able to think of something negative to say about this item but the simple fact is that this was the perfect purchase.

This is my first Sony TV.  I have been researching and researching and finally we decided.  And boy was it a great decision! Picture quality is astounding.  So crisp and clear and not stretched out.  I love that I get all my HD channels and I can see even the shine in the news reporters eyes. Elevates TV watching to a whole other level.  Looks beautiful mounted on the wall.  Kind of upset with the price of the mount and it having to be so specific for the bravia but the tv is awesome. We like it so much we went back and bought the sony surround sound to go with it. Great buy.  Really enhances the tv even more. Now my tv/movie viewing is at a whole other level too!  I am so impressed that the next tv I buy will be a sony for my son.  Also I really think the price was great..  I can't complain.  Just look for a sale and you can easily get a great deal on a Bravia.  Well worth the expense..

Sony is one of the most trusted brands in electronics today, and this tv is no exception. I purchased this lcd tv over a year ago and it still works like new. The setup was beyond easy, I was up and running in less than an hour. The picture quality is incredible and the sound is outstanding. I recently watched the movie Avatar and the viewing experience was breathtaking. Sports also have a great picture, especially football. The bass that comes through the speakers can really be felt in your chest when its turned up loud enough. Not only that, the sound and the details in the picture are both so crisp. I cannot get over how clear everything is! The remote has pretty big buttons and is very easy to use. Also, the tv is very easy to keep clean. I've heard people complain about the price of a Sony, but this tv was not very expensive and it was worth every penny. If you are going to invest in a flat screen tv, I would highly reccomend this or any other Sony television.

we were looking to upgrade our older model mitsubishi projection television since it was out of warranty and taking up an extra 4 feet in our living room area.  since we were expecting our second child we needed all the room we could get in that area.  we decided that a wall mounted flat screen television was our best choice. i have always been a big fan of sony electronic equipment but was willing to check out other brands too.  the panasonic company and sharp also offered some really amazing flat screen lcd television but in the end we chose this sony.  we had someone come in to install it on the wall mount - a good decision as the first tv had an issue and we had to wait for them to run to another store and pick up a replacement!  the tv was installed and configured easily and hooked up to our tivo (with cable cards).  the picture is just astounding on this lcd tv. the colours are sharp.  definitely a good buy/
