When buying a TV, the brand is very important, and personally I choose not to buy anything else besides a Sony or a Samsung. I have had great experiences with both companies and the picture quality neverdisappoints. I can say that about this TV. The Matte design is something I look for in every television because I cannot stand the shine and glare on glossy TVs even thought people claim it looks "fancier". The name Sony alone is fancy and you should not need a glossy television to show that. The color and visual options in this television are also very good and you can pretty much set every option up to your liking. The viewing angles are great and you are getting a great picture no matter where you are. The 1080P resolutionis a must and this TV passes that test also. The thin and sleek look of this TV is also a plus and no matter if you are watching movies or playing games, you won't be disappointed. The one problem I was havingwith this TV was that the sound kept on shutting off and I would have to turn the television off and back on to get it back. I called sony about this and they were very helpful but blamed it on my HDMI cable which I don't think was the case.
