Love this tv. Received it from a family member. It has so far lasted roughly about 4 to 5 years. Great picture. Pretty decent sound. Great fit on a wall mount we bought online. Only downside I've found is when hooked up to the internet via Ethernet cable, it's really not that fast. I tried to go to a network website to watch a show, and it couldn't even load the main network's page. Other than that, though, I would definitely recommend this tv to anyone. Sound Quality It could be a little louder, and it sounds kinda far away sometimes, but I guess it's built more for picture than sound, really. Durability We've jostled it around a bit. Packed it carefully in Styrofoam and its original box and put it in a commercial moving truck and drove it cross-country and it survived. So there's that. Design Only thing I don't like is when you wall-mount it, the place you need to plug in the Ethernet cable is directly through the hole behind the mount, but at a funny angle so it takes quite the effort to plug and unplug the thing. It wasn't very well thought out logistically. Performance Only thing I don't like is its slow startup. Won't let you hit a lot of buttons or do anything until it takes a few seconds to a minute or two in order to "warm up."

I have this television in a 46" also but my 46" loses sound every now and then for an unknown reason and I can vouch that this TV does NOT have that problem. The 1080P resolution is a must have for a television this size and this tv does have that and much more. The colors/pixel quality of this tv are very rich and the lighting is very good. Even if you have many lights shining on this TV, it will not affect the picture as it does not have a glossy screen and the viewing angles are excellent. I honestly believe you can noi go wrong with any Sony LCD televisions and if you truly are having a problem, sony has great customer service. People need to understand that you are paying a premium for the sony name, but with that sony name comes great performance and unmatched quality. The Refresh Rate and the 60 Hertz might be a turn off for some people but it really doesnt make a difference to me.

We bought this for our bedroom to use with our PS3. The TV has no problems keeping up with the games we play. The fast refresh rate makes it perfect for gaming. This was our first flat panel TV and we are thrilled with the size. For as large as the screen is, it doesn't take up that much room. We also have a Sony Reciever and with the Bravia Sync, we are able to use a single remote to change input to the TV and volume. Sound from the TV speakers is good, and it syncs right into the surround sound making the audio fuller. We have it set up on the base that was included and it is more stable than I waould have thought. It was simple to set up and put together. I love how many inputs it has. Some of our other components are older and still use RCA's, but there is enough room for everything. It pulls in our digital antenna easily, making it look like cable. And blue rays look fantastic. I would definatly recommened this Sony TV to everyone. When we get ready to upgrade the living room TV we will definatly look for another Sony. It was reasonably priced for the quality.

We absolutely love this TV! You can't go wrong with Sony quality HD that has great picture, and sound quality. We love that it also accommodates all of our gaming consoles, dvr and surround sound. Its also nice that it comes usb ports in case we want to showcase pictures. Its fairly user friendly so it doesn't take long to get used to it and learn your way around it. It seems to be pretty good quality as well. We have a couple of children, both under 3, that love to run up and touch it. The TV seems to stand up to their abuse rather well! We also like that the controls are all located on the top so they can't reach them. Its convenient the way you can chose which port you want to view. I find this particularly useful when checking game scores during a movie or a video game. Also, we are a family that likes to rearrange our living room at a moment's notice. Since this TV is so light, moving it is not a problem!

This is the first HD TV I have purchased where I really put the Contrast Ratio as an important spec in my search and it paid off.  Have a 3 year old Samsung that I have loved, but that does not have as high of a contrast ratio, and I can really tell the difference in the picture on this Sony.  The 4 HDMI inputs are really nice too, another problem with my old Samsung that only has 2.  Just a lot more devices I want to connect now, and can only imagine there will be more in the future.  Only negative is that the sound is not as good as I expected.  It's just not very loud, I have to turn it way up to hear it.  From my previous experience with other Sony HD TVs, the sound was one of their top features, but does not seem that way on this TV.

I absolutely love this TV. It's picture is sharp and crisp, without even playing with any color settings. Straight out of the box I can hook up Satellite, Computer, Wii with component connections, Blu Ray player, and still have connectors available. The remote is compact and easy to use...my wife can even do everything she wants with it! It has a very solid feel to it, without being bulky. Styling is plain, but elegant. It will enhance any room. We wanted a TV that was large enough that we could immerse ourselves in movies and video games, but we didn't want to have to buy a new stand or wall mount. We ended up taking the doors off our existing armoire unit, and it squeezes in nicely. I like it even better than with the doors on! I play EA Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 almost every day, and I can read the break on the greens almost perfectly every hole. It's the ultimate experience for a golf sim geek!

I live in a medium sized apartment so my living room is about 11x14, and this TV is the perfect size.  It is large enough in my space to be considered big screen.  First of all I was loving the picture quality of course (don't forget the HDMI cord for the best picture) but then the more I played with it I found that you can plug in your flash drive and play music and also show pictures in a slideshow you can even store some on the TV!  I have never had any problem with the TV.  There is two things that are a negative, but I haven't found it to bother me all that much.  If you put it in theatre mode it turns down the brightness of the screen a little too much, but for my viewing, most of the time I leave it on Sports mode because it gives the brightest and most vivid picture.  The other thing is that the TV is not compatible wit my Canon camera, but the way around is to get the pictures on a flash drive and that works good for me.  Overall, I would highly recomend this TV and I am so glad I waited until I could get a Sony Bravia and I didn't settle for less.

I've had the TV for about a month now and have loved every second of the video playback however, there are some drawbacks to the TV which is to be expected since it is not intended to be used for the high end, state of the art home theater. The video is exceptional. Utilizing the HDMI connection from my BluRay player, I am able to rediscover movies that I used to watch in standard definition. One of my concerns is the audio. Many TV's can act as a center channel these days, however, this TV doesn't seem to come with that option which I feel should be a standard option especially with the HDMI connecting directly into the TV. Please keep in mind, this model only has the 60Hz refresh rate so the picture is smooth but not as smooth as those that have the 120Hz refresh. The Energy Star rating is somewhat a farce since you have to basically turn the brightness way down (via the Energy Star setting) to where the picture is barely visible in order to reduce the energy consumption. I'll pay the couple extra bucks on my energy bill so I can actually see the movie or tv show.  All of this being said, it is what I would consider a good entry level 1080p LCD TV which is why I gave it 4 stars.

My family just got our newest Sony TV. We have always been happy with Sony in the past. Sony is a very reliable brand and always worth the price. This TV was no exception. A beautiful picture with sharp clear focus. On High Definition programs the detail is out-standind! This TV is well worth the price.
