Awesome digital clock

By

Comments about Sony - ICF-C218 Clock Radio:

I got the Sony Clock Radio from one of my old roommates but I doubt it cost a whole lot since he's a pretty cheap guy. It is very easy to switch to radio and find your favorite radio station. It also very easy to adjust the time and to set the alarm to a certain time. The digital reading is very easy to see from across the room and can be seen very well in the dark. However, you cannot adjust the brightness if you don't like it. The design is pretty bulky it takes a good amount of space. The alarm is adequate starts out fairly soft than progresses into a louder sound To adjust the alarm one must use a switch holding it to the right to go forward or the left to go backwards. I don't really uses to listen to the radio often since I have my own separate stero with better quality sound. The sound is not that bad though. It has a built in FM antenna so you don't have to hassle with the hand wire that some radios have.

Sony Dream Machine is a "Dream".

Comments about Sony - ICF-C218 Clock Radio:

I purchased this little clock radio to have the time that I could read at night in the dark.  Not knowing this radio had so many cool features, I just got a bonus.  This clock radio automatically sets the time.  How I do not know but when you plug it in is set to the time in your area.  Also the automatic daylight savings time feature is a plus.  My old clock had that feature but since I purchased it the dates of daylight savings time changed and I almost missed a handbell performance at church because my clock changed on the wrong date.  Also it has a battery backup so with power outages, no worry, your clock does not go off and start blinking at your until you reset it.  It also has the alarm set and snooze alarm as most clocks do.  One other additional feature is date button which displays date, month and year.

All of these features in one little clock radio.  Oh did I forget you can wake up to music or the news ever which one you prefer.  This is an inexpensive radio that is a great investment with lots of neat features.

One smart clock

By

from Minneapolis, MN

Comments about Sony - ICF-C218 Clock Radio:

This is a great clock. I have had it for years and it has had zero problems until I moved to my new apartment a few months ago. Ever since I moved, the clock has been 7 minutes fast. So what's the big deal you ask? Well this is a smart clock that sets itself automatically when you plug it in! It's so nice to be able to just plug it in, and voila, it's set. However, I can't figure out why it is running fast. The radio works very well. It would be nice if it were digital but he dial tuner works fine too. The clock even knows when it is daylight savings and will reset itself at the exact second daylight savings time changes. The clock has a snooze function, however I have not used it yet. The volume control has a wide range and the clock can be VERY loud if you want it to. The buzzer for the alarm isn't too obnoxious and has a lower pitch which I like. If the clock was running the correct time and not seven minutes fast, this clock would get a 10/10 stars. I still recommend this clock because of its ease of use.
