Sony - Handycam DCR-SR42 Camcorder Review

I almost absolutely love this. I will make sense of that through this review. As for the video part, this camcorder for the most part is awesome. It is very lightweight and small, so long periods of recording are no problem. Do have a light for when recording in dark. Love the ability to be recording then switch to picture mode with a flick of my finger then switch back. Downside, have to stop recording to catch the moment. The camera is only 4 megapixels, and no flash. I didn't really buy it for the picture ability, or expect it to replace my digital camera. So, as far as a video camera, with the ability to be able to catch that picture, while you have the handycam handy, it is just, sorry, but "HANDY". I love the videocamera and has many  capabilities.The picture capability is a nice bonus feature. The Handycam has touchscreen, so easy to navigate through menu. The ability to pick up the sound is amazing. Easy to download to computer or burn straight to disc.

To sum up, buy and love the Sony Handycam DCR-SR42 for the video, and enjoy the bonus camera.
