The Sony Handycam DCR-SR300 Camcorder is a handheld camera that reviewers found to be "fantastically fun and "a must-have for the videophile". With an impressive Carl Zeiss lens, and the ability to provide crisp and clear images, the DCR-SR300 is a great version of the Sony Handycam. The SR300 also allows the user to take images at 6.1 mega-pixels, gives a nice 20x digital zoom, and allows for allows for great stills using the super Steady Shot function. It's also a very lightweight camcorder, coming in at just over a pound, and providing users with an extremely portable camera great for vacations or weekend get-aways. Fantastically Fun!

I do extensive research on all my electronic purchases and found this to be the very one I needed. So far it is fantastic. It is very easy to operate. I'm still very new at operating it and have not yet downloaded it onto my computer. The zoom is easy and very clear. It is small and compact in every aspect My favorite is the Carl Zeiss lens, the best ever. The sound comes through crisp. I love the compact size. I was use to looking through a viewfinder, with the option of using a screen. This only has the screen, so I'm having to get use to not having a eye viewer. You cannot keep a tripod...
