The Sony Handycam DCR-DVD408 Camcorder is a handheld camera that can create DVD's that can go straight into a DVD player and work. The Sony Handycam 408 is a newer version of the best-selling product from Sony, and geared towards being extremely affordable. For the budget conscious, and the beginning users, this is a great camcorder that is also easy to use. The sleekness and compact feeling of this Sony Handycam really had reviewers buzzing, and they also loved that the zoom button worked so well. A self-explanatory camera that just about every reviewer enjoyed using and still does, this Sony camcorder has proven to be very durable, and of the highest quality. The only downside found with this camera was that it could be a little slow at times. 2007Just bought a Sony Handycam 408. Makes great quality videos directly to DVD. Very simple to use. Has a nice touch screen interface. The DVDs are a bit pricey, but the camcorder ewasily connects to a DVD burner to write to larger DVDs. you can then re-use the DVD-RW. Also, takes nice pictures if you buy the memory card. easy to use camera for all your family occasions. older kids can also use with ease. small enough to go any where with you, although i suggest a camera bag. great picture quality and color. not too expensive. of course it also makes a great gift. the next time your out at that family gathering or at holiday parties, this is your date.

I am a family man with three kids and the pictures and images I take must last for a long time. This product is light weight and easy to carry around. It fits in a small area for storage and his compact. The quality of the pictures is above average and clear. It is a good addition to our family's resources.
