Sony - Handycam 408 Camcorder — 

Just bought a Sony Handycam 408.  Makes great quality videos directly to DVD.  Very simple to use.  Has a nice touch screen interface.  The DVDs are a bit pricey, but the camcorder ewasily connects to a DVD burner to write to larger DVDs.  you can then re-use the DVD-RW.  Also, takes nice pictures if you buy the memory card.  You can also take a few pictures while you're recording video.  I've been very pleased so far.
