This is surprisingly the best camcorder I have ever had! Today I just made a movie about my dog, and edited it on my computer. Just amazing! I was able to shoot in 1080p! I then viewed it on my apple TV, and it made for a great movie night! This camera is perfect for family vacations! It is small, compact, has excellent viewing quality, and has over 4 hours of built in memory!  On top of that, it has a 3 inch touchscreen, that is very easy to use. Although, nothing is perfect, and everything has it's flaws. My main problem with it is how hot is gets, and the lack to pause a video recording in progress. Another thing is it comes with nothing. You need to buy a case, a wall charger, the whole thing. I suggest you buy this at best buy, and make sure you mention it is cheaper online! Overall, this little camera is a great investment, and for only 179.99, everyone can have one! I recommend this cute little camcorder!

So the first off, the appearance of the camera is very nice. It's very sleek and nice looking. The outside of the camera has a brushed metal look that is very elegant. It comes on quickly so you can get straight to the action. With the camera comes instruction manuals (very brief, for the actual manual you have to go download a PDF which is a bit annoying), and USB adapter, and a wrist cord for the camera. I like the quality of the video and pictures it took. Although at times, navigating the setting options is a bit of a hassle. The biggest problem I had with the camera (which was big enough for me to return it) was the design flaw. The camera shoots in both portrait and landscape mode and the camera automatically switches for you when you turn the camera. Which means when you hold the camera upright, the most natural and comfortable way to hold it, because of how it's made) it will only shoot in portrait mode, which is this really tiny strip of video with huge black boxes on the outside of it. In order to get it to shoot landscape (how you're used to seeing video) you have to hold it sideways. The problem is there is only one tripod input, which is on the bottom, forcing you to only shoot in portrait whenever you use a tripod. And you can't set the camera up on the side, because it's skinnier at the bottom than at the top, so it'll topple. Bad design. Also, the mic is right where you would put your hand at, so you'll find yourself covering the mic often.

I absolutely love this Sony Bloggie Camcorder.  I had been considering a Flip Video camcorder but I just wasn't impressed by the size of the screen and "basic" look and feel.  I would rather than squint while trying to take video for several minutes.  I had used a Flip Video on a trip but without free/included software to rotate the images on my computer (I had tilted the camera so that I could record "landscape" views) I was disappointed that I had to search for software to make the video useful.  As with all Sony products, software is included so that editing is easier/more accessible.  I love the look and feel of the camera.  It is sleek and small - about the size of a compact digital camera.  I would highly recommend ordering a screen protector as almost the entire "back" of the camera consists of a nice sized viewing screen (certainly one of the selling points of the camera).  I also am impressed with the onscreen controls.  I just have to slide my finger to change the viewing window from micro to more of a landscape sized image.  Another great feature is the ability to take still images.  This will come in really handy as switching between a camcorder and digitial camera can be a chore.  You'll also be impressed with the sound quality.

If you are looking for a pocket HD video camera, this should be a top contender. While not as famous as the FLIP that all the kids are flipping out for, this is a far superior product.  The touch screen is beautiful and responsive, huge 3" as compared to the smaller screen on the flip. it's a full 1080 resolution and it does 12.8mp stils.  the digital zoom is not that great, but then again what digital zoom is? The share later feature that allows you to tag files so that bloggie touch uploads it automatically upon being plugged in to a usb port is awesome.  with minimal fuss, you can have the uploading to facebook and youtube be automated.  low light performance suffers on this unit as with all pocket hd cams.  Image quality is surprising good for such a tiny device given enough light or outdoor day time.  Battery life is decent but not great. between 1 to 2hrs of hard continuous usage.  I've played with the competing products, and the design and feel of the bloggie touch feels far more slick and less toy like of the other plasticky feeling products.
