When dropped, this phone (Sony Ericsson W350) simply explodes. The back of the phone and the battery come apart. I drop my phone pretty regularly and it doesn't seem to damage the phone in any way. The phone is built with a flexible plastic on the part that flips down and I believe that helps protect the unit.
